June 23, 2010, 2:18 AM–After appearing on the Today Show, the cast of “Harry Potter”, which includes Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Bonnie Wright, Michael Gambon, Warwick Davis, James and Oliver Phelps, Matthew Lewis, and Tom Felton was on hand to welcome guests during The Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park’s Official Grand Opening Celebration Event at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. 

The cast personally greeted  and congratulated contest winners and runner ups from various elementary schools from across the United States. Afterwards James and Oliver Phelps “lit”fireworks that rained down snow-colored confetti onto the eager and very emotional park visitors.

ICM was able to capture some wonderful pictures of Rupert (sporting a “Detroit” shirt) as he interacted with and rode the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster with the excited contest winners.

June 20, 2010, 1:52 AM–As you know Ice Cream Man was invited to take part in the week of festivities leading up to the Official Public Grand Opening Event of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida.

On Wednesday, June 16th, media and guests arrived to the Grand Opening Celebration Evening Reception via the red “carpety” carpet and was immediately greeted by Hogsmeade villagers who passed out lit wands, served up Butterbeer and enticed visitors with lots of yummy Wizarding World treats like, Cauldron Cakes and Chocolate Frogs.

ICM was able to capture video and images of many of the arrivals, such as,  David Heyman, Warwick Davis, James and Oliver Phelps, Tom Felton, Matthew Lewis, Bonnie Wright, Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, and even J.K. Rowling!

Of course, Rupert was more than happy to say hi to his fans at ICM, and even took a picture with me (no mean old “Men-in-Black” type around to say “NO PICTURES” this time!!!)

I’ll elaborate on the magical  evening of events when I write up my official report. (You wouldn’t believe what happened to me on the Forbidden Journey ride!)

March 18th, 2010, 6:53pm–Straight from Universal Studios we have a video of an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the Harry Potter Wizarding World theme park featuring Rupert Grint! We see him in a few well known costumes: Quidditch and his Gryffindor robes! We see him chatting up with co-stars Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Oliver Phelps and James Phelps. If you’re wondering, Rupert and his Harry Potter co-stars have filmed different scenes exclusively for the theme park. So whenever you go, we’ll always see Rupert there! In other news, they will be revealing the opening date for the Harry Potter theme park on March 25th at midnight EST.
