A Brand New Rupert Grint Interview From Berlinale!February 24th, 2013, 12:46am–During his time in Berlinale, Rupert Grint did quite a few interviews to promote The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. Today one of those nice interviews with Rupert has popped up via Entertainment Daily News. In it Rupert talks about why he chose to do the role, working with Shia Lebeouf, and seeing more of him in the role. You can view it all here. (Or watch below!) Thanks to the anonymous tip! (Rupert’s part starts around 1:20 mark and ends around 3:03.)
And if you haven’t seen it already, new news about Super Clyde has hit the internet. Check out the story below for more. We will probably get more casting news in the coming weeks and hopefully know by May on whether CBS picks up the pilot. Fingers crossed!
Rupert Grint: More Pictures From Berlinale!February 18th, 2013, 4:14pm–While news is winding down about Rupert Grint being cast in Super Clyde and everyone has had a chance to catch our exclusive interview with him, we now bring you even more images from Berlinale where Rupert promoted The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. We have more from the photocall here, the press conference here and the premiere here. We will still be bringing you more, so stay tuned for that!
We also have a lovely newspaper article from the German IN Magazine which features a snippet about Rupert calling co-star Til Schweiger‘s daughter, Emma. Here is the translation:
“Also Til Schweiger (49) is taking his spot between the Hollywood-Stars this time. He represents the movie “The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman” with his co-stars Shia LaBeouf (26) and Ron Weasley – damn, I meant Rupert Grint (24). By the way, he has a big worshipper at the Schweiger-Family. Til:s little daughter Emma (10). “Rupert spoke some greetings into my iPhone, she was totally flashed”, told the daddy. Maybe the Gingerhead could invite Emma into Diagon Alley sometime.”
You can view the scan here. (The caption next to Rupert’s pic says: “Sorry Rupert Grint, even though you did a great job in the new movie, you’re still Harry Potter’s friend Ron in our heads.”
Rupert-Grint.us Exclusive Interview with Rupert Grint at Berlinale!February 15, 2013, 4:14 pm– This past weekend, Rupert Grint attended the International Premiere of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman at Berlin Film Festival and not only walked the Red Carpet, but also participated in a Press Call on Sunday. Four of our staffers had the chance to interview him, and Rupert answered our questions about his character Karl and the film, and once again participated in a photo interview like last year in Oslo.
“And my character was quite a challenge, I suppose, although he is only a tiny part of the film, the character kept changing.
Originally, in the script, I was German and I got my head around playing a German person, but in the end, there were so many accents in the film that they thought it would be too much, so they went away from that version.
I was a virgin at one point, which would have been another weird direction there. So it was a lot of work figuring out who I was.”
You can read the full interviewhere, and the photo interviewhere. (Note that the last question was four days before the news of Super Clyde…)
We know that you not only like to read his interviews, so you can find HQ pictures from our interview in our Gallery, and an audio on our youtube channel, or enjoy the video below:
Since all four of us had the opportunity to watch the movie (twice), we also have finished our review chat – although we must give out a warning that we cover adult themes as is the case in the film. If you’re of age, you may read it here. In case you have any questions about the film or our review, simply use the comments to ask.
And finally, Jessica, the lucky winner of our competition for two tickets to the premiere, has also written up a short report about her experience, which you can read here!
We would like to thank Rupert for taking the time and for giving us such a great time in Berlin, and to his team, esp. “Bonnie” and “Hamish” for making this happen! 😉
