June 18th, 2010, 9:16 pm–We have loads of Rupert Grint goodies to last us for several weeks it seems. We aren’t even half way finished with our Wizarding World coverage and now The Guardian has released a brand new interview complete with a new gorgeous photo-shoot of Rupert dressed to the nines!
Excerpt: In the interests of fashion, Rupert Grint is reversing into scratchy undergrowth. On a break from filming the final two Harry Potter films, the sleepy-voiced 21-year-old, who has spent nearly half his life as Harry’s sidekick Ron Weasley, has the air of a student just emerged from a long lie-in. But in front of the camera, his hair blazes with colour and his eyes pop out from beneath delicate eyelashes. Gazing from the shrubbery, he looks like an ethereal creature, not quite of this world.
View the photos in our gallery by clicking on the photo below and then stay tuned because we have loads more news to catch you up on including some really amazing ICM exclusives with Rupert Grint that you are going to love. Oh and we have some big Wild Target and Eddie the Eagle news to share with you as well. Busy busy busy! Bare with us!!!
October 14, 2009 9:09 AM– Back in June, we told you that Rupert Grint would be a judge at the Guardian Young Critics Competition, for the category “Film”.
The winners of the competition have been announced today by The Guardian!
Matthew Barron won in the age group 14-18, while 13-year old Unity Haggard got the price for a critical review of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince!
Of course, she also mentions Rupert in her review:
Rupert Grint seems to understand his character well, and exaggerates it, which boosts his popularity.
Keep in mind what Rupert said about a good review:
Film critics should stick to critiquing an actor’s performance: some of them are far too obsessed with the superficial – with people’s appearance – and there’s nothing worse than a critic being bitchy. Some can be really unkind, and it’s just not fun to read, especially if it’s you they’re writing about. Even if you have 10 really good reviews, it’s the one bad one that sticks in your mind.
A critic really has to know their stuff. If you’re writing about film, see as many movies as you can. Making comparisons with other films helps the reader build a mental picture of what this new film is like. Have an open, varied taste, and be receptive to new creative ideas.
June 20, 2009, 3:25pm–Rupert Grint will be a judge on the Young Artist Critic Competition where those 18 and under will be judged on whether they can be a critic! Rupert, of course, will be judging the film part of the competition. The article can be found at The Guardian and Rupert’s PR team say yes he will judge but won’t actually be appearing. For those interested in the competition you can find out all the details here! Rupert is quoted on the website about how to be a critic!
