October 8th, 2013, 10:37pm–In what has been a trifecta of news that included a new interview and the Charlie Countryman trailer, we now have some more great news! You may remember a few days ago we let you know that Rupert Grint‘s Super Clyde would be available online at CBS‘s website. True to their word, they have released it. You can watch it here! This is 22 minutes of pure fun and I’m glad that they decided to let us see this gem. Please let us know in the comments what your favorite scene is! Unfortunately CBS has blocked those from other countries. Hopefully a new way will be found for you all. In the mean time though, check out these wonderful stills that have been released right here. I think we can all agree that CBS should have taken a chance on this wonderful show!
May 11th, 2:54pm, 2013– Unfortunately, news has hit the web tonight that Rupert Grint‘s pilot project Super Clyde has not been picked up by CBS. Yesterday, we got the first signs that it would be very very difficult for the pilot to get picked when The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that four comedies had been picked already (Crazy Ones, The Millers, Mom and We Are Men). There were many very good pilots up for graps this year on CBS, and Super Clyde was just really unlucky not to be picked.
Today several of Rupert‘s cast members on the pilot confirmed the bad news.
Justine Lupe wrote it first:
Sad to say CBS SUPER CLYDE isn’t going on… Grateful to have gotten to have some fun with @TyLabine, @stephenfry &the rest!
Tyler Labine was quick to reply:
@iamjustinelupe @stephenfry it was indeed great to get the opportunity to work with you both. Grint too. Everybody was awesome. Truly.
And lastly, Laura Ortiz gave her reaction to the news:
Thank you guys for all the support! it was an amazing project to have been a part of!! #superclyde
Of course, this is a huge disappointment for all us Rupert fans, but we have to keep a positive attitude and support Rupert in his future projects – he has an uncanny ability to surprise us, so we can’t wait to see what project will be announced next.
But let’s not remember this project as a disappointment, let’s all go to the galleries and enjoy the lovely pictures we got of Rupert filming in Los Angeles.
As a last effort to support this project and show everyone how much we want it to get made, we will start a little campaign which we hope everyone will take part in – on May 15th we’ll be tweeting FX and TBS in hopes that they consider picking up Super Clyde. To learn more click here.
March 28, 12:45pm, 2013– The official facebook page for the new CBGB movie has given us another major Rupert Grint goodie to enjoy on this fine Thursday. Remember to like them on facebook and tell them how excited you are to see Rupert as Cheetah Chrome!
They have just released the very first poster and Rupert is front and center on this very cool and different poster. Check it out below (you get the full size if you click on it):
In other news, several of the actors involved with Super Clyde tweeted today that they have now finished filming.
Stephen Fry even gave our own Rupert a little compliment on the way:
Wrapped! Home by 4.30 am. The boy Grinty done good. Who knows if it’ll be “picked up” for a series but was fun. Must sleep now …
Rupert‘s new on-screen sister Justine Lupe wrote the following which makes us very excited:
Wrapped! So happy to have been involved in such a fun and smart project with @TyLabine and @stephenfry.
And finally we can share this amazingly cute image of Rupert on the set of Super Clyde with the actor, Stanley Miller, playing young Clyde which was posted on his twitter:
March 24th, 2013, 2:02am–After weeks of table reads and actual shooting of the pilot, we have our very first behind-the-scenes look of Rupert Grint as Clyde in Super Clyde, the CBS pilot he’s filming. It’s not much, but it gives us a small sense of what Clyde will dress like and what style hair he’ll have. We can also see Stephen Fry in the pic dressed up in his butler’s uniform. Maybe we can’t tell all that much, but it just makes us more excited to see the pilot. Keeping everything crossed that CBS picks it up! Check out the photo below or see the full size in our galleries here. And thanks @PeruRupertGrint for coming across this awesome pic!
UPDATE: We’re currently experiencing technical difficulties with our gallery and are working diligently to get it up and running again. In the mean time, please click on the picture to see the larger version!
UPDATE #2: We have another BTS picture of Rupert as Clyde along with Tyler Labine as Duke and Justine Lupe as Faith. You can view it below. (Our gallery is still being worked on, sorry for the inconvenience!)
March 16, 2013, 3:47pm– Today, we are ready to bring something back that was very popular among all you lovely Rupert Grint fans a little while ago: our beloved forum. We have had it under construction for some time, but we finally think that it’s time to bring it back so that we can all discuss everything Rupert related in the same place. Rupert has so many projects recently finished, not yet released or just about to begin. So we want to discuss and analyze all of Rupert‘s projects with you all, whether it be his former projects like Harry Potter or Driving Lessons, or his new and exciting releases like CBGB or The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, or the fact that Stephen Fry has just been confirmed to star alongside Rupert in Super Clyde. So join us and have some fun talking about everything and anything Rupert right HERE – it should be easy for everyone to sign up, but if you have any questions or problems, don’t hesitate to write us here in the comments or email us at email@example.com.
To start everyone off, why don’t we go to the forums and discuss Rupert‘s brilliant Scouse accent in Into the White, which is perfectly depicted in this new clip released from the film:
