» June 20 by Karo in CB News, Gallery, Merchandise with 16 Comments

June 20, 2010, 10:56 am– In the midst of Wild Target and Harry Potter, we have not forgotten about Rupert Grint’s film Cherrybomb!

Thanks to the German distributor Capelight we can exclusively share with you the German trailer (which is familiar, but you get to hear the trio’s German voices) here on the official Cherrybomb Youtube channel!

Additionally, they have updated their website with information about the Cherrybomb DVD and BluRay, including the extras being the trailer as well as interviews! Go here, and click on the Cherrybomb BluRay picture at the bottom, or on the slideshow once Cherrybomb comes up. :)
We also uploaded the Covers to our Gallery.

The German tagline can be seen on the DVD/BluRay cover as well:

“Zwei Jungs. Ein Mädchen. Lasst das Spiel beginnen”

Also, we have been informed that there will only be few „exclusive screenings“ for Cherrybomb in Germany, so don’t forget to check the site in the upcoming week, as we will have more information by then. And better clear your calenders for mid-July…

UPDATE:I forgot to mention this, but Capelight applied for a FSK 12 (that’s the German rating).

Exclusive: Cherrybomb Q&A Clips and Pictures from Belfast!

» May 11 by Karo in CB News, Site News with 5 Comments

May 11, 2010, 1:12 am– We reported recently that the directors of Rupert Grint’s film Cherrybomb, Glenn Leyburn and Lisa Barros D’Sa, were scheduled to be at a Q&A event after the film’s screening this past Friday in Belfast. Staffers Anna and Karo were also in attendance, and we can now share two clips from the event!

First, Glenn and Lisa’s short introduction before the film and the Q&A itself. The two talked about filming Cherrybomb, the casting process and the fan support – “We have some familiar faces in the crowd” – as well as their upcoming project, Good Vibrations.
Also, Glenn and Lisa told us after the Q&A that Luke’s family name is actually Connolly.

You can download the clips from our Media site here: Introduction and Q&A.  And we included the you-tube versions below for your convenience. Sorry for the darkness of the second clip, but they were sitting in the shadows!

And you can see some photos from the Queen’s Film Theatre here, including a newspaper article (with a great review) and a huge banner that reminded us heavily of Rupert…

May 8th, 2010, 5:01pm–We have a new clip for you from Cherrybomb. This one features Rupert Grint, Robert Sheehan and Kimberley Nixon in a scene that we have had glimpses of in various press junket interviews. This is the clip where Malachy asks for Michelle’s number. We get to see the beginning where Michelle first walks by the boys as they are hanging out at the Leisureplex and asks if they are going to the Life Boat. You can view it on our YouTube below:

In other news we have two pictures for you. Rupert has gone to the Isle of Man to cheer on his brother, James, in a rally there. There is a fan picture of him from Louise and you can view the picture in our gallery here.

Empire has also released a picture of Rupert and Simon Pegg posing where they both autographed it! You can also view that in our galleries here!

Robert Sheehan Talks Rupert Grint and Cherrybomb With White Lies Magazine!

» May 7 by Tania in CB News, Rupert News with 6 Comments

May 7th, 2010, 3:52pm–Rupert Grint’s co-star Robert Sheehan recently did an interview with independent film magazine, Little White Lies. In the interview, Robbie talks about his future projects, Cherrybomb and Rupert of course. You can read his interview on the magazine’s website. Here’s what he said about Rupert:

I think there was a reasonably immediate spark off as soon as we met, I mean the banter started up pretty quickly. People strike a dynamic, and it was similar because it was me being mouthy, Rupert being lovely and sweet and himself, and Kim in the middle telling me how much of a tosser I am.

And if you missed it…..On Tuesday, Rupert Grint and his Harry Potter co-stars James and Oliver Phelps and Tom Felton spend the day enjoying a round of golf. According to Tom, Oliver won the game. Although Rupert won the practise round the day before! You can view a picture of the golf day here in our gallery. In the photo, we see one of the twins in the bunker with Rupert looking on.

Also Karo, Anna and Laura recently went to a screening of Rupert’s latest film Wild Target at the British and Irish Film Season at Luxembourg. You can see pictures of their trip here in our gallery.

Enjoy!
