July 2nd, 2011, 11:26pm–Remember when Rupert Grint was photographed in the skeleton sweater a few weeks back on the streets of London? Looks like he was there for an interview and photoshoot with The Gauardian’s Observer to promote Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Rupert talks on an array of subjects with quotes from castmates and others talking about who he is as a person. It is quite a good read with lots of talk about Rupert’s laid back attitude and some new tidbits about his life.

“Any slower and he’d be in reverse,” so says his on-screen brother James Phelps. And co-star Matthew Lewis says, “Nothing fazes him.”

Other awesome tidbits? Rupert calls his father, Nigel, “Nige” where Matt says that Rupert’s done that for as long as he can remember; that it’s just Rupert’s way. And also, after being press by the interviewer about his first impression of Dan after their first meeting, he says: “I remember thinking,” says Grint, grinning brilliantly, “that this guy has a really triangular-shaped head.”

Rupert Grint: Oasis Tribute Band Plays for Harry Potter Cast!July 20th, 2010, 12:33 PM–Published in the Derry Journal,  local boy Daniel McColgan,  who sings lead for an Oasis tribute band, Noasis, had the honor of performing with his band for the Harry Potter cast, including Rupert Grint! Could this be the Harry Potter cast party that we’ve all been hearing about? Or could this have been for Matthew Lewis’ recent birthday outing with his Harry Potter Pals.

Here’s an excerpt from the article:

He was performing for the Harry Potter cast, one of them had a birthday. He said it was amazing, but that’s Daniel, he just loves to be on stage performing. He has got loads of gigs lined up for this summer.”

June 17, 2010, 3:39 pm– More news from the opening of The Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Our own AJ was at a press conference this morning where she managed to ask Rupert Grint two questions! He was at a press conference with Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton. Here’s what she has to say:

My first question was regarding his favorite part of the WW. He responded that he liked the pubs.

Second question, I told him that the FANS at Rupert-grint.us wanted to
know if he was excited that his film Wild Target was coming out in the UK
on Friday.

He didn’t know (it was so funny), it was a surprise to him that his movie
was coming out. He said he thought it was today (I said, noooo, tomorrow.)
Dan said something to the effect of them being so busy, that they loose
track of days.

AJ goes on to tell us that she then went on to a press conference with James and Oliver Phelps, Bonnie Wright, Matthew Lewis, and Warwick Davis where she got to include more questions and comments. She even enjoyed some butterbeer! She tells us that she has some great pictures and videos, so keep checking the site!

June 17th, 2010, 5:26am–ICM caught up with Rupert Grint at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter Grand Opening Celebration where we wished him luck on the upcoming release of his new film Wild Target. Rupert was delighted to see the fan support and replied with a big a thanks and shot out to ICM! Staffer AJ was able to catch the moment on film and squeeze in some coverage that includes his Harry Potter co-stars Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton, James Phelps and even JK Rowling! She looked lovely!!! After a brutal stint with the Men in Black at the Half Blood Prince premiere last year AJ finally got her new photo with Mr. Grint too! So congrats to AJ and today sometime we’ll be sharing those photos and more stories with you after the press conference which is only hours away! And for those of you who are regulars you might want to join us in the forums for some additional news that you’ll sure love to hear!! wink wink…..

Update: Two new pictures of Rupert Grint at The Wizarding World Grand Opening. The first Here! and the second Here!

June 15th, 2010, 5:09pm–Several days ago we exclusively revealed that Rupert Grint would be attending the Grand Opening Wizarding World of Harry Potter event. Since then many people have stated that Rupert would not be attending on the 18th. We can once again exclusively reveal that this is untrue as we have received word that he will be attending events all three days.

One event that ICM will be apart of is a press conference that will be during the day on Thursday. Rupert, along with Tom Felton and Michael Gambon will be one of the press conferences that we will attend. There will be several others with various stars including Bonnie Wright and Matthew Lewis. For those wondering, there was nothing on Emma Watson being there for these but we’re not sure of the grand opening event.

June 18th will be a huge event. We’re not sure all the details, but we will let you know them including how close regular park guests can get, etc. However for those who cannot attend, the event will be streamed live here! Also the Today Show will be live on that day interview Rupert and his harry potter co-stars including Daniel Radcliffe and Michael Gambon!
