April 7, 2010 at 12:31 pm- In the midst of all news Cherrybomb, we need to announce that Rupert Grint’s upcoming film Wild Target is going to be screened this weekend at the International Crime Film Festival at Beaune in France! Not only that, but it is also up for an award in the competition, and is screened no less than five times!

Wild Target will be called “Petits Meurtres à l’anglaise” in France!

In addition, we have received word from the team behind Wild Target that the soundtrack for the film will be available about a week prior to the films release (currently set for 18 June)! You can already view the tracklist here.

Thursday, 8 April: 7pm (invitation only), 7.15pm
Friday, 9 April: 5.30 pm

December 29, 2009, 11:09 am– While news are slow over the holidays, our lovely Laura has found some more tidbits about Rupert Grint‘s new film Wild Target.

An interview with Jonathan Lynn on behalf of Clue has appeared online, in which he talks shortly about Wild Target‘s “all star british cast”. You can find to the part related to Wild Target here.

Also, another song can be added to the Wild Target soundtrack! Pete Simpson‘s “All Over” is to be featured, and you can check out his music here and find his Myspace here.

And, since news are slow, please make sure to vote for Rupert at the Empire Awards!

November 5 2009, 9:34 AM–Many thanks to Wild Target publicist who has exclusively sent us an official still of Rupert Grint from the film! The picture is copyrighted by Magic Light Pictures (Wild Target) IOM Ltd and the photographer was Nick Wall.

The film Wild Target, also starring Bill Nighy, Emily Blunt, Rupert Everett and directed by Jonathan Lynn will be distributed in the UK by Entertainment Film Distributors, in France by Other Angle, as well as by Village Roadshow in Greece, Phars in Middle East and Valentin in Portugal. Internationally the film is being sold by sales company, Protagonist Pictures, and will be premiering at this years American Film Market in Los Angeles, between the 4th – 11th November.

June 11, 2009, 5:06PM–New Exclusive Wild Target set photos featuring Rupert Grint have now been released online through Wild Target director Jonathan Lynn’s Official Website! The Rupert related photo  shows the cast seated at a dinner table along with cast and crew.  You may view it in our gallery here!

The rest of the set pictures just show Emily Blunt and Bill Nighy and other filming locations. Hopefully more Tony is on the way! Remember we said Wild Target wrapped up post-production early June so we anticipate more and more news in the coming days and weeks!

June 07 , 2009, 4:25am–In our last report about comedy Wild Target starring Rupert Grint, Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt, we shared with you news about a new distributor and Cannes promotion! Well now Wild Target director Jonathan Lynn has just updated his website with new information stating that Wild Target is set for completion early June 2009! Even more exciting, Dublin-born rockabilly singer Imelda May, has confirmed her involvement with the Wild Target soundtrack in an interview with the Irish Times! Imelda even went as far to say that the movie was set for release in September of this year. Keep in mind though since Wild Target has now signed up with Vue Entertainment, this could very well change. We’ll do our best to keep you updated on the progress.

Update: A Harry Potter event took place today with several of the cast in attendance, but we wanted to let you know that Rupert did not attend this event despite what some articles have reported.
