July 15, 2009, 8:22 PM–Rupert Grint was among the actors who were interviewed today by Edith Bowman, as a part of BBC Radio 1′s Harry Potter special! Edith and her sidekick James also talked to Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, Jason Isaacs and others. Edith called Rupert a “comedic genius”, and praised his performance in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. As for the interview, it’s very funny and revealing — Rupert talks about nicknames he’s been given after coming down swine flu, about his giggling fits, and many other things. After the interview, Edith and James also talked how nice and friendly Rupert was, so I’ve attached that segment to the audio clip as well. If you live in the UK, you can listen to the interview directly on BBC Radio 1 here by selecting “Listen to the latest show” (Rupert’s segment begins around 22 minutes). Rupert was also on the Scott Mills Show, where he took part in a little quiz — he was asked to name as many famous Harrys as he could think of (and among them, he named Harry Krishna!) Download that super cute clip from our media site here (the third clip on the page). And a few days ago Rupert was interviewed for the Claudia Winkleman’s Arts show on BBC Radio 2. Again, you can either download her HP special directly from the BBC site here, or collect it from our media site (the show is over 30 minutes long, however the Rupert bit is quite short and it’s at the very beginning, after Dan’s interview).

July 10, 2009, 7:24 AM–While we wait for Tao, Jo and AJ to start posting their Rupert Grint goodies from yesterday’s US premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, I have uploaded the third batch of our exclusive interviews from the London red carpet. I talked to Jim Broadbent, who said that filming the poisoning scene with Rupert and Daniel Radcliffe was very difficult because they kept laughing! Helen McCrory and Jason Isaacs revealed that they start shooting the Malfoy Mannor scenes in two weeks, and they’re all super excited! July 9, 2009 at 10:30 AM–Grint alert! I have finally uploaded the first batch of the videos I filmed two days ago in London, at the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I was given the opportunity to exchange a few words (and smiles) with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Jessie Cave, Freddie Stroma, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton, Jim Broadbent, Jason Isaacs, Helen McCrory and the producer David Barron. (I also filmed quite a few others, such as Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright, Evanna Lynch, Devon Murray etc. but didn’t have time to talk to them.) I was sharing the red carpet spot (and the umbrella) with Nick from MuggleNet and Mary from Harry Latino, so I’ll be swapping videos with them as well.

June 06, 2009, 7:55pm–In a new interview with The Telegraph, Harry Potter actor Jason Isaacs praises how well Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have dealt with fame and he says that they are all really talented and they’ve got each other as close friends.

Excerpt:

“It would be so great for the press if one of them would go off the rails and end up in rehab, but they are, actually, just really sweet guys.”
