Rupert Grint Quizzed, Jessie Cave Awestruck, The Twins Teased!

July 16, 2009, 7:39 AM–In case you have missed some segments of yesterday’s BBC Radio 1 Harry Potter day, you can now revisit their exclusive coverage here: they have uploaded lots of videos, images, and other goodies. For those of you who can’t watch the videos, we have added two to our Youtube channel: in the first one, Rupert Grint is quizzed by Scott Mills: first he is asked to name as many famous Harrys as he can think of, and then to retell the entire Harry Potter saga in a few sentences! In the second video, Jessie Cave takes Edith Bowman and James King on a set tour and talks about being in awe with Rupert when she first met him!
In a new interview, James and Oliver Phelps talk briefly about Rupert and about challenges of being a redhead:
Through Harry Potter, there is much that does not normally have been regarded as a cult that is cool, kids fight, for example, to borrow the glasses that are in circulation. Do you think that it has been easier to be redheads?
(in unison): No.
James: We do still ridicule Rupert (Grint, who plays Ron) for his hair.
Oliver: I was at a football game. Made my cut and I got up and celebrating. We were right by the home fans, and they shouted: “Put down your redhead…” It was pretty funny. I said nothing about that I was a Weasley.

Now that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is finally playing in the cinemas worldwide (and breaking records in terms of ticket sales, sold out screenings etc.) maybe the news will slow down a bit! In the past 15 days we made 53 news posts, almost 200 updates, over 100 reviews have been added to our RR section, not to mention countless photos, videos etc. Our staff brought you some exclusive footage from the London and New York premieres, and in the midst of the HP frenzy we helped organise a private screening of Cherrybomb and continued to work on its distribution campaign. Special kudos go to the most recent additions to our staff — Dunigan, Sam and Val — whose baptism of fire was absolutely frantic! We didn’t have the time to train the girls properly, we simply threw them into the madness that is ICM, but they coped brilliantly.
Thanks to all of you who have been submitting news, and we do apologise if we forgot to credit someone for a news tip — it wasn’t intentional! We really appreciate all your help and support.
In the next couple of days we will be uploading more reviews, tidying up our media section, and of course keeping you updated with all the latest Rupert news. I’m sure we all have lots of catching up to do!
UPDATE: Can’t remember if we’ve already posted this video from TV Guide — Rupert mentions his 21st birthday and says he’ll be working on the day. Oh well, we’ll have to celebrate on his behalf.
UPDATE 2: Our section dedicated to the critics’ praise of Rupert’s role in Half-Blood Prince has already grown so big that it has exceeded the word count limit for a WordPress-powered page. Therefore we had to split it in two separate pages — page 1 (older reviews) and page 2 (latest additions). The way things are going, we might have to add the third page soon!
