First Clip of Rupert Grint as Karl in “Charlie Countryman”!November 6th, 2013, 2:09pm– MTV has published the very first full-length clip from Charlie Countryman featuring Rupert Grint as Karl. In this particluar scene we get to see Rupert in a strange predicament – his character has taken five (… or six) Romanian viagras, and this is apparently not something you do without consequences. The only solution for the group is to go to the nearest titty-bar.
Check out the clip below which also features Shia LaBeouf as Charlie and James Buckley as Luc.
We’ve had a week full of news already. If you missed it, you can read our exclusive Mojorifique report from London here (as well as read scans from the much-talked-about interview with The Sunday Times), and we got an amazing batch of new pictures from the recent Harry Borden photoshoot here.
Rupert Grint In Behind-The-Scenes Look At Charlie Countryman!October 25th, 2013, 5:15pm–As you may know, in the US the title of Rupert Grint‘s newest movie has been renamed to just Charlie Countryman. Today the distributors behind the film have released an exclusive behind-the-scenes look of Rupert and co-star James Buckley being stuck together with super glue. In it, we see how James and Rupert were stuck together with real super glue and how they got them back apart! Director Fredrik Bond asks Rupert if he’s done anything like this on Harry Potter to which Rupert can’t stop laughing and shakes his head no. What a trooper he is! You can see it on their official facebook account or view it below:

However, tonight we have some lovely news about The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman. The first goodie we can share is this new and absolutely beautiful poster with the new caption: Dying for love… a pretty f**king cool way to go. And what a cool way to describe this film! You can view an even more beautiful super HQ version in the gallery here.
As another little treat we’ve uncovered three excerpts from the soundtrack from the film. And those of us who’ve been lucky enough to see the film can only say that the music is one of the very best things about the “Charlie Countryman” experience. So head on over to composer Christophe Beck‘s website and enjoy the music! Listen HERE!
Release dates for this film is still a little up in the air – Comingsoon.net writes that The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman will be shown in a limited selection of cinemas in the US from November 15, and the UK release date is set for November 8th (be careful about trusting the release dates on the IMDB page since the Norwegian and Danish release dates seem to be incorrect!). We will update when more information regarding release dates becomes available.
Fredrik Bond & James Buckley talk Rupert Grint in a New Interview!January 30, 2013, 6:27pm– Rupert Grint gets a lot of praise by director Fredrik Bond and co-star James Buckley in a new interview done by collider.com done during the Sundance Film Festival.
Bond: When everybody started working it was like being creative people, all the ‘celebrity’ part of it disappears out the window, it’s about here and now and what we’re working completely. And you know the whole cast that we had was exactly like that. Shia didn’t come with an assistant, Evan didn’t come with an assistant, it was just about the work. It was just getting it, and Mads Mikkelsen the same thing.
Buckley: And Rupert the same thing.
Bond: Rupert as well.
Buckley: I keep forgetting that he’s a mega, mega star.
Bond: Me too!
Buckley: It’s so easy to just forget that. Cause you just talk to him and he’s just so nice and so fun to be around, like you go for a beer with him afterwards and stuff and he’s just again, he’s just a bloke. And then you forget that his films have just smashed every record that exists and that everyone on the planet knows who he is. It was really lucky, it was so great that everyone was on the same page and wanted the same thing.
You can read the rest of the interview in our Press Archives here. It’s a lovely interview and we get a great insight into the filming of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.
The International Premiere of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman at Berlinale is just over a week away and it looks to be a great event with Rupert, Shia LaBeouf, Evan Rachel Wood, Til Schweiger and Fredrik Bond all attending the premiere. Read all the details here.

In this interview, Shia mentions Rupert and the “best possible cast we could have, and the best picks”:
Several articles about the film have been published as well, giving more information about Rupert’s role. USA Today has published this great article with the following quote from director Fredrik Bond:
“He’s so synonymous with the Harry Potter series, I think that’s why he was so keen to do this,” says Countryman director Fredrik Bond. “He’s dying to be doing different stuff outside of the series and be acknowledged for it. He’s an incredible actor. And it’s so different from what he’s done before. He had an amazing time.”
(Make sure to read page 2 as well…)
Several more articles can be found through our Press Page. Please beware of adult themes as Rupert is playing an adult character in this film!
We have also started to assemble reviews about The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman on our Reviews page, which you can find here.
