February 3rd, 2011, 8:18pm–Earlier today we learned that the Harry Potter series will be honored at this year’s BAFTA for “Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema“. Ice Cream Man can now exclusively tell you that Rupert Grint will also be attending the ceremony. The awards take place on February 13th, just a little over one week! We also know that producer David Heyman and J.K. Rowling will be there to pick up the award. We’re not sure about any other cast members who are attending however. If you plan to go to the awards ceremony please let us know! And anyone who can get video of anything that includes Rupert please let us know as well!

February 3rd, 2011, 3:12 pm–Rupert Grint recently spoke up about the lack of nominations for the Harry Potter films. Earlier today it was announced that the Harry Potter films will be honoured at the BAFTAs!

The franchise will be honoured with the award for “Outstanding British Contribution to Cinema”
. The award ceremony is taking place on 13 February in London, and producer David Heyman and author J.K. Rowling will be there to pick up the award for the Harry Potter films.

In the official press release, Rupert was quoted saying this about the honour for the franchise:

“Thank you so much BAFTA for this amazing Award. We have spent half our lives making these films and are so proud of the pleasure they have given the fans and the contribution they have made to British cinema.”

December 19th, 2010, 8:29am — With Rupert Grint‘s film Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows out in cinemas, we finally can share with you the first bits of our coverage from the London premiere.

Sadly, Rupert was dragged past us twice before being ushered inside, but as we saw him spend an incredible amout of time signing autographs for fans, we do not mind. However, we have some awesome pictures, including the amazing Jo Rowling herself!

November 18th, 2010, 8:18pm — With only a few hours to go before Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 is released, a continued onslaught of interviews and behind-the-scenes specials have popped up featuring Rupert Grint. Firstly we have several interviews to share with you. The first one is from SheKnows where Rupert talks about J. K. Rowling, David Yates, the physicality in filming Deathly Hallows and much more! It’s a very good, insightful read, so definitely check it out! Thanks to Fazel!!

Reelz Channel also sat down with Rupert where he talks about working with Ralph Fiennes and the Deathly Hallows split. It can be viewed below!

Apart from Rupert Grint, the clip features his co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, as well as the author J.K. Rowling. We don’t really have the time now to trim the clip to Rupert bits only, but we hope you won’t mind watching the entire thing!

Rolling Stone has posted a new (p)review of Half-Blood Prince, and here’s what they say:

As played with open-faced exuberance by Rupert Grint, the ginger-haired Ron is Harry’s best friend and true confidant. He’s not as expert in wizardry or Quidditch as Harry, which causes some resentment and makes Ron raucous comic relief. The love potion he takes in Half-Blood Prince brings Ron’s immature likability to the fore.

UPDATE: IESB has this new video  interview with Rupert Grint where he talks about his role in Half-Blood Prince. The site also has plenty of behind the scenes footage and we can see a lot of Ron in the clips and clearly hear the dialogues! Watch them over here!

UPDATE 2: TLC had the chance to visit Half-Blood Prince set last year in February and they got to interview Rupert and co-stars. They now have the audio of it over here. The interview is basically the same as the one of Coming Soon that we posted earlier but it doesn’t bother to hear that lovely voice. Enjoy!
