April 24, 2009, 3:32 PM–It has now been confirmed by Warner Bros that the first world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince starring Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson will take place in Japan on Monday, July 6, 2009. The London premiere will then take place on Tuesday, July 7th, and the New York premiere on July 8th. Although not confirmed yet, most likely the three stars will split up the promotional tour as they did for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. We will be sure to let you know once we discover which promotional leg Rupert will be doing.
Thanks to Snitchseeker for the news.
Update: If you’re in a mood for some voting, you can take part in the Moviefone’s poll “What Will Be the Biggest Movies of the Summer?” Of course Half-Blood Prince is nominated, so you may vote for it here.
Update 2: Thanks to our friends at UHP for sending us the first photos from the Harry Potter Exhibition, which is due to open in Chicago next week! You may view a few items in our gallery here: Ron Weasley’s Quiddich uniform, Ron’s and Harry’s Gryffindor uniforms, the famous Ford Anglia, as well as the poisonous chocolate box!

April 14, 2009, 6:21 PM–Good news for all Rupert Grint and Harry Potter fans! Warner Brothers’ senior publicist has just informed us that the release date for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” has changed! The movie, directed by David Yates and starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and a myriad of great British thesps, will debut on Wednesday July 15, i.e. two days earlier than previously announced. As some of you will remember, the previous installment of the franchise, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” was also released midweek, so this change comes as no surprise.
As we have announced earlier today, the new trailer for “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” will be available to download in two days, i.e. on Thursday April 16, 6pm PST (8pm EST); and WB team has promised to release some new posters and promotional images as well!
Many thanks to Warner Brothers’ Pictures senior publicist for owling us!

March 2, 2009, 7:51AM–Rupert Grint news keep flooding, and our previous post was getting a bit longish, with all the numerous updates, so here’s a new one.
First of all, apparently we are not the only ones eagerly awaiting the release of Cherrybomb: the movie has just made it onto the Most Anticipated Movies of 2009 list, published by Movie Picture Film. To make things merrier two Rupert Grint’s films are on the list, because the latest installment of the Harry Potter saga, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” is of course there too. View the list here.
Also, thanks to Lilly for letting us know a new/old Rupert Grint interview was posted on HBP Moviepics. It was filmed on the occassion of the “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” DVD launch, if I’m not mistaken. It is short but cute, so view it on Youtube here.
UPDATE: More Cherrybomb and Belfast Film Festival buzz here… However, they still keep announcing that Rupert will attend the screening, which is, as we have been told, quite unlikely. Come on Rupert, come to Belfast, these people can’t wait to see ya!
