Ice Cream Man is an unofficial - though very professional and extremely good looking! - fansite, dedicated to the gorgeous and talented Rupert Grint. Alas, we are in no way affiliated with Rupert, his family or representatives. (*sob*) The site is ad-free and non-profit. All media is the property of their respective owners - no copyright infringement intended.
April 12th, 2011, 7:32pm–Rupert Grint news has slowed somewhat while the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 DVD and Blu-Ray is just days away (though in some countries it has already been released). And it is now less than a 100 days until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 comes to theaters. However we do have a non-HP treat for you. Just days before he started filming his latest movie Comrade, Rupert and his co-stars took part in a press conference for the movie. A new video surfaced some days ago of an interview with Rupert and his co-star Lachlan Nieboer talking about various things including why they decided to take the role. While the questions might be similar to the other video that was released, this one definitely has different answers. You can watch the interview below:
Also if you haven’t caught it yet, a longer version of the final scene ever filmed for the Harry Potter series was released recently. You can see it on our youtube page here. Warning: Trio tears my cause tears for you!
UPDATE: Petter Naess answers your questions! Check out Zentropa Norway Tumblr for part 1 of the interview. Some great things about Rupert!
April 8th, 2011, 10:16pm–This past weekend Warner Bros. celebrated the opening of the Harry Potter Exhibit and the launch of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 on Blu-Ray and DVD. While Rupert Grint was unable to attend because of his filming commitments to Comrade, many of his Harry Potter co-stars – including practically the whole Weasley family of James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright and Domhnall Gleeson – did attend the event and ICM was right there in all the action. Ally and Sarah attended these events on behalf of of the site and brought us some amazing reports and pictures.
The first report comes from Ally on the Harry Potter Exhibition. You can read about her experience here and see the pictures here.
The second report comes from Sarah who got to attend the press conferences for the DVD and you can read her report here and see pictures here. You also can download the audio here, here, here and here. The first two are from the fan press conference and the other two are from another press conference.
Lastly, but not least, you can read Ally’s report on from the red carpet DVD launch here and view her pictures here.
Update: We’ve got two new promo pics from DH part 1 here and here in our galleries. They show an outtake from The Seven Potters scene, and a scene of Harry in the foreground as Hermione tends to Ron’s wounds in the background.
Update: And another new pic has arrived. This time it is from DH Part 2 and shows Ron and Hermione (as Bellatrix Lestrange) at Gringotts. You’ll find the pic in our gallery here.
April 1st, 2011, 1:19am–I was going to update the last post on Rupert Grint‘s nomination of a National Movie Award (please view that post below), but this clip is far too adorable to let it just be a passing update. This looks to be the end of the feature on the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 blu-ray so if you don’t want to be spoiled I suggest not looking. However for those who don’t care you’re in for a real treat. The four players, including Tom Felton, Oliver Phelps and James Phelps, are awarded prizes. Oliver wins the first prize but it’s Rupert who wins the second. What makes this the most adorable thing is his sheer giddiness at winning and the surprise in his voice. Notice it goes up an octave? Clearly the most adorable thing I’ve seen and this will be one feature I will be watching over and over again come April 15th! Which, by the way, is now only 14 days away! Any way, view the clip below and thanks Melissa for the tip!
April 1st, 2011, 1:05am–To coincide with the nominees vote for MTV Movie Awards, which you can vote at here, Rupert Grint has also been nominated for a National Movie Award in Performance of the Year. His Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson have also been nominated in the same category. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 has been nominated in the Fantasy category while Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 has been nominated in the Must See Movie Of The Summer category. You can start your voting by going here. Just like with MTV, we can surely give Rupert the chance to win this as well!
March 23rd, 2011, 8:01pm–With the exciting news of Comrade it’s hard to imagine that anything else squee worthy could come up. However Warner Bros. has just released a clip of the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 Blu-Ray feature of “On The Green” with Rupert Grint, Tom Felton, Oliver Phelps and James Phelps. In this clip though it is only Rupert talking about the end of filming the series and what he’d miss most. He also talks about Ron and how he doesn’t envision himself as Ron any more. There is also a moment I think us fan girls (and boys!) will like where the wind blows Rupert’s hair to the side and there is almost a Malachy-esque moment with his hair! Check it out for yourself below:
In other news, Sir Paul McCartney has added a behind-the-scenes video of the Red Nose Day sketch that he did along with Rupert. In it we see Rupert and Tom doing the sketch with Paul! You can view it on his site here.
Don’t forget to keep voting for Rupert in Best Male Performance, Best Fight Scene and Best Movie at the MTV Movie Awards. You can also nominated Rupert with Wild Target in Best Comedic Performance by adding him below the list of pre-nominees!
