2u4ojmxSeptember 5, 2009, 5:33pm–A seller on Ebay has found a photo of Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets director Chris Columbus when the trio were first introduced to the world as Harry, Ron and Hermione in the Harry Potter franchise. You may see the photo in our gallery here. We are currently unsure that the autograph is real, however the seller has great feedback which gives them credibility. The item is currently going for $49 dollars and has two days left for bidding. You can do so here.

In other news, while the Relly Award voting is currently over you can still vote for Rupert at the 2009 Scream Awards and the Top 30 Under 30 at Portrait Magazine (where Rupert is currently second)! Just click on the links on the right hand sidebar!

Rupert Grint and Emma Watson As Ron And Hermione Named Top 5 Movie Couple By BBC Radio 1!

March 18, 2009, 1:48PM–BBC Radio One’s movie critic James King has just named Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, played by Rupert Grint and Emma Watson, as number 4 in his Top 5 Movie Couples list on Edith Bowman show. The show will be available to listen online here any minute now. (The Ron and Hermione bit is around 1 hr 40 min into the show.) In case you cannot listen to it, you won’t miss much because there isn’t any new info, but still this is awesome! Thanks to BritLatina for informing us.

Also, Warner Bros. has sent us information that the first artifact in Harry Potter: The Exhibition has arrived, and it is Ron Weasley’s flying Ford Anglia, as seen in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Several exclusive photos of the flying Ford Anglia arriving at the museum in Chicago will be added here to the photo gallery of the Official Harry Potter widget later today. Also, you can follow this link to enter the competition and win a trip to the world premiere of Harry Potter: The Exhibition!

UPDATE: For those of you who live outside the UK and cannot listen to BBC Radio 1, I have grabbed a short audio segment of the show when James King talks about Ron and Hermione! You can now listen to it or download it from our Media section here. (Apologies for the metronome you’ll hear ticking in the background!) Also, if you wondered who else made it onto the top 5 list (because I didn’t record the entire thing), here you go:

No 5: Jennifer Lopez and George Clooney in Out of Sight
No. 4: Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in Harry Potter
No. 3: Julia Roberts and Richard Gere in Pretty Woman
No. 2: Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford in Star Wars
No. 1: Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt in Mr and Mrs Smith

Cool, innit?! :D

UPDATE 2: An interesting article about the wartime motto “Keep Calm And Carry On” has been published by Daily Mail. Of course Rupert is mentioned, because he has often worn a tee shirt with this slogan. Read the article here.

» March 8 by Ivana in Gallery, Rupert News with 138 Comments

March 8, 2009, 3:10PM–Many thanks to Sally A Edwards for informing us that they have added a trailer / making of the new issue on the BLAG website. It shows a shot from their Rupert Grint feature as well as two outtake shots! You can view it here on their site (it is a huge file and it takes a little while to load, but it’s worth the wait), or alternatively, here on Youtube. It’s awesome! (Just pause at 0:33 and enjoy!) Thanks to Laura we added some screen shots in our gallery here , here and here!

Speaking of Youtube, Jo has recently discovered an old Rupert interview (from the “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” era) conducted by Hollywood.com, aptly named “How to make it in Hollywood”! View it here, and we’ll be adding it to our media site soon.

Also, our beloved gallery is up and running again. To celebrate this, we have just uploaded lots of HQ images of Rupert Grint at various events. First of all, we have a new bunch of images from the Hand/Feet/Wand ceremony afterparty, courtesy of I Heart Watson — you can view them starting from here. Also, thanks to IHW, we also have some HQ behind-the-scenes photos and stills from the “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” set; view them starting from here. We’ll be adding more soon!

Finally, don’t forget to explore the FanArt section in our forum: you will find awesome banners, icons, cartoons, drawings and animations there, created by Neglo, Laura, Katie, Dove, Lilly, Napchic and others! Don’t miss Laura’s March calendar here!

UPDATE: I have just uploaded these new videos to our Media site (in avi and mov formats): you can download BLAG trailer here, and CoS Hollywood.tv interview here.

Rupert Grint Rave Reviews Update!

» January 24 by Ivana in Rave Reviews, Rupert News, Site News with 13 Comments

January 24, 2009, 1:14 PM–While we await the latest news, I have discovered some more great reviews of Rupert Grint‘s previous movie roles. Thus I have just updated our Rave Reviews section with six reviews of “Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone” (starting from NYC Movies), and seven reviews of “Harry Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets” (starting from Movie Eye). Here’s just a few quotes from the COS era:

“Reprising their roles, Radcliffe, Grint, and Watson are able to once again find that camaraderie that is essential to their characters, with Grint stealing the show with his facial expressions and mannerisms.”

“After narrowly escaping with earnest friend Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint, great fun again) in Ron’s dad’s flying, turquoise Ford Anglia, Harry’s adventure begins.”

“Rupert Grint, who plays Harry’s best pal Ron Weasley, also had a growth spurt between films, but he remains the everykid who grounds the story in earthy good humor.”

UPDATE: Thanks to Dunigan for letting us know that the rumour that a new “Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince” trailer would be attached to Inkheart (in the US at least) was indeed false. The trailer that was played before Inkhart was the one released a few months ago, with the remarkable scene of Ron’s poisoning in it.
