December 15, 2012, 3:53am– We don’t have to wait long before Rupert Grint‘s latest adventure in the cinematic world is premiering. As we told you earlier, The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January – now the exact screening schedule has been released.
The film will be screened four times and the schedule is as follows:
1/21/2013 6:30 pm Eccles Theatre, Park City 1/22/2013 9:00 am Eccles Theatre, Park City 1/25/2013 9:30 pm Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, Salt Lake City 1/26/2013 11:59 pm Library Center Theatre, Park City
We also have a new and the very first mini review of the film as well as the length, which is set at 108 min.
Fredrik Bond’s stylistically assured debut feature spins a drug-fueled fable of high-stakes romance, in which wearing your heart on your sleeve will leave you a bloody mess. A dynamic lead performance by Shia LaBeouf sees him pummeled at every turn as he desperately fights for the magnetic Evan Rachel Wood. The couple squares off against a dream pairing of movie bad guys: Mads Mikkelsen and Til Schweiger. This gorgeously shot adventure, with a hard-charging score setting its pace, provides a truly unique vision of the pain and ecstasy of love.
December 3, 2012, 4:22pm– The news just keeps pouring in the world of Rupert Grint news. It has just been announced that Rupert‘s upcoming feature film, The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival. The festival takes place in Park City, Utah from January 17 to 27 2013.
Trevor Groth, the Director of Programming for the Sundance Film Festival had this to say about the selections of films revealed today:
The films in the Premieres and Documentary Premieres sections offer compelling portraits of worlds and people ranging from the beloved to the misunderstood to the unknown. Expertly crafted by some of the most esteemed filmmakers in the world these films have the power to delight audiences at the Festival and impact our culture at large.
This exciting news comes right after collider.com released the very first picture from the film which shows Shia Labeouf and Evan Rachel Wood sharing an intimate moment – check it out here.
We do not know yet if Rupert will attend the Film Festival, but we will let you know as soon as we find out.
September 25, 2012, 11:29am– Although news have been a bit slow, we have been working hard behind the scenes to bring you exciting new Rupert Grint goodies. Yesterday, we had the amazing opportunity to talk with Rupert on the phone, and we are now ready to share our interview with everybody.
We asked him several questions about his upcoming projects: The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, CBGB and Postman Pat – as well as a few clarifying questions about The Drummer and Enemy of Man.
We even asked what he was wearing to get all you listeners a visual image of Rupert on the other end of the line, and we asked him to tell us something that no one would expect about him. The answer was… unexpected but this picture might give you a clue.
You can listen to the interview below and read the transcript here.
Thank you so much Rupert for taking the time to talk with us
June 29th, 2012, 1:10pm– A new article from Screendaily lists Rupert Grint as one of the speakers at the Creative Content day on July 31 which will highlight the UK industry to global leaders. Rupert will be talking about the Harry Potter phenomenon with producer David Heyman and Josh Berger from Warner Bros. Although this is a closed event for UK and international industry, it is interesting to see how Rupert will help shed light on the UK industry alongside many other prominent and respected people from various branches of creativity.
In other news, both Evan Rachel Wood and writer Matt Drake have tweeted that The Necessary Death Of Charlie Countryman has officially wrapped. Hopefully this means that more information will become available since it is still unclear who Rupert will play in the film.
While production of CBGB has begun in Savannah, Rupert has not begun work as Cheetah Chrome just yet, and until he arrives on set we can expect him to show up at various events in the UK – The Media Eyetweeted earlier today that Rupert would be attending the Goodwood VIP Party. We have no idea if this is true, but look out for pictures floating around.
