Rupert Grint To Star in Norwegian Film “Comrade”?

» March 10 by Karo in Comrade News, Filmography, Rupert News with 39 Comments

March 10th, 2011, 12:55pm– With the contracts for Eddie the Eagle still waiting to be signed, an article has been published by VG.no which says that Rupert Grint is set to star in the norwegian film production Comrade.

The film, according to the article an anti-war film, will be directed by Petter Næss and, unless my Norwegian is really bad, the article says that filming will start on 28th March!

We are currently awaiting a reply from Rupert’s reps whether this is indeed true. Keep your fingers crossed!

Thanks to Malene and Marite for the hint!

UPDATE: Still no update on Rupert’s involvement in the film, however we’ve discovered a further synopsis of the film and wanted to share it with our readers: Comrade is an anti-war movie. High above the harsh Norwegian wilderness, English and German pilots shoot each other to the ground after a violent chance encounter. Isolated, they must fight to survive the brutal winter. Though war has made them enemies, antagonism is hard to maintain as days go by. Through mutual need, unlikely friendships bloom. Somehow, they become comrades. War, after all, is absurd.

UPDATE #2: Rupert is currently in talks to star in this film. Nothing is confirmed yet according to Rupert’s reps.

Rupert Grint Talks Harry Potter Future And More In New Interview!

» November 30 by Tao in Eddie News, HP News, Rupert News with 2 Comments

November 30th, 2010, 9:22pm–Newspaper USAToday has just posted a new interview with Rupert Grint and his Harry Potter co-stars Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe. In it Rupert talks about the ending of the series, the last scene filmed, and taking a break from filming. Rupert also talks about taking his time on which movie to chose from as he is actively reading scripts. It’s a good read about the trio and their future. USA Today also talks about Eddie being filmed soon, but no confirmation on that. Some of Rupert quotes:

On the last scene…

“It’s been such a long time,” Grint says. “And it was such a random little scene. I was soaking wet. The three of us jump through a fireplace on a crash land, and that was it. It felt like it should be ending on something a bit more meaningful, but that’s how it was.”

On the future…

“I’m just being a bit patient and waiting for the right thing,” he says. “I’m not in a real rush. This last shoot was more than a year and a half and I’m pretty exhausted, really. Now that I’m finished, there’s a real sense of freedom.”

If you’re wondering we haven’t posted the Disorder photo, we wanted to check with the people at Disorder first. No one is accusing anyone of wrong doing, we just wanted to be sure! Thanks for understanding!

Rupert Grint: “I Feel Liberated”!

» August 22 by Tao in Eddie News, HP News, Rupert News with 15 Comments

August 22nd, 2010, 6:59pm–While at V-Festival this past weekend, Rupert Grint was interviewed by several news media outlets. The Mirror has a small quote of him saying he feels liberated with Harry Potter finally ending:

‘I feel free after all these years. It’s been nine years,’ he told me inside the Virgin Media Louder Lounge.

You can read the two lines of quotes here.

The Telegraph also spoke to him and he talks about wanting to do Shakespeare on stage!

Grint, who celebrates his 22nd birthday tomorrow, hasn’t acted on stage since he was at school, but he says he yearns to try his hand at one of Shakespeare’s plays to establish his credentials as an actor.

Rupert also mentions, strongly, that he would never get naked on stage. He also mentions two of the souvenirs he has taken from the set. (Did they finally allow him to take the egg home?) You can read the whole article here.

UPDATE: A couple of more photos from V-Festival can be found here. Also for Russian fans, thanks to Laura we know that Wild Target will also be playing on the 24th on channel TNT!
