March 12, 2010, 3:46 am–-While we soak in the latest news of  Rupert Grint and his amazing photo-shoot with NO. Magazine we thought we would take the time to touch more on the interview portion as he reveals quite a bit about his feelings on his career and the direction he is headed for the future.  Some of his quotes are really honest and have touched many of us. We support you Rupert 100% and  look forward to seeing what you are going to do 2010 and beyond! It is after all The Year of Grint re-loaded or in this case The Re-Invention!

In this exclusive interview with NO. Magazine Rupert says…

I never got to push myself, so I was quite worried about doing Cherrybomb because there’s a lot going on with this character. It was a real challenge. The accent as well, because it’s a Northern Irish accent, so it was quite worrying…especially because the crew was all from Belfast.”

And if you guys remember we explained “Eddie The Eagle” was not a rumor and so now you finally get to read Rupert actually mention the project himself in this quote….

Next up, Grint has been strongly rumoured to play Eddie “The Eagle” Edwards in a biopic of the most celebrated, undecorated ski-jumper in the history of the sport. Grint quips that though he can’t ski, this may actually be a good attribute to have for the film. Filming will start for the movie once Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows wraps.

Okay and so we’ll put more of the interview up a little later. You need some photos to enjoy so we have some more for you. Click to view the latest from this shoot in our gallery here. And who knows maybe more to come. ;)

January 7, 2010, 8:13 PM–Late last year we reported that Rupert Grint would be taking on a new role as the infamous ski jumping legend Michael Edwards better known as Eddie The Eagle.  Well Eddie recently attended the Vancouver Games in Canada to carry the torch but he also  finally mentioned the film and his excitement to receive the script which should be headed his way in the next couple of months.

This from CBC news.

Edwards also noted that a feature-length movie about his experience in 1988 is in the works.

“I’m going to be receiving a script within the next two months and I think they want to start filming towards the end of the year,” he said.

“I’m really looking forward to it. I loved Cool Runnings, the film about the Jamaican bobsled team that was also at Calgary. And I’m really looking forward to having this movie being made about my life.”

The NY Times also has published the news…

He may, however, be poised for something of a comeback. Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the Harry Potter films, has been cast as Edwards in an upcoming film about his life.

Also the Canadian Press has a more in depth interview with Eddie in which he discusses a lot of the hardships he faced on his way to Calgary. He reveals how he had to sleep in the car, cow sheds and even a mental hospital to get by… At times he had to scrape food out of bins and had to beg, borrow and steal equipment. It was a real struggle he says. Read more here.

And last but not least we’ve just heard from Rupert’s reps that official news on Rupert’s involvement will be released as soon as they are given the green light. Exciting isn’t it?

Update: Sorry guys, we wanted to post the Blag photos but Blag contacted us and said we aren’t allowed to do it.  :( Hope you all understand!
