July 13th, 2011, 7:40am–
I am sure some of you have already seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 by now around the world and are as thrilled as we are
filmcritic.com attended on the red carpet of the premiere in New York and got the chance to speak with some cast members.
Q: Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy scored a Best Picture Oscar on its final try. Would it matter to you if the Harry Potter franchise managed to do the same?
Rupert Grint: It’s never been something that really mattered to us. This [gesturing at the screaming fans] is a good enough kind of award, just seeing the enthusiasm from our fans. It’s just as pleasing to us as it is to them.
Q: Rupert, do you remember the very first scene you filmed as Ron Weasley?
RG: Oh yeah, I remember it clearly. It actually was the very last scene of the first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. And I remember it being so sudden. One week, I was in school reading the Harry Potter books, and the next week, I’m on a film set. It was just crazy, and such a high for me.
You’ll find the whole article in our press archive here.
Don’t forget to check our latest pic at our gallery of Rupert hitting the streets of New York here.
UPDATE : As you know Severus Snape has been voted as “The Best Harry Potter Character” in The Harry Potter Saga on MTV Movies Blog Poll. Look Like Empire Magazine did the same. Have a look at their page to read all “resumé” of each characters. And in another Harry Potter stuff, Mtv’s little “sister” AfterElton has counted down all the best Bromance in the Saga. Here is their 10 best moment which include some Harry/Ron Moments. Read here.

July 2nd, 2011, 11:26pm–Remember when Rupert Grint was photographed in the skeleton sweater a few weeks back on the streets of London? Looks like he was there for an interview and photoshoot with The Gauardian’s Observer to promote Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2. Rupert talks on an array of subjects with quotes from castmates and others talking about who he is as a person. It is quite a good read with lots of talk about Rupert’s laid back attitude and some new tidbits about his life.
“Any slower and he’d be in reverse,” so says his on-screen brother James Phelps. And co-star Matthew Lewis says, “Nothing fazes him.”
Other awesome tidbits? Rupert calls his father, Nigel, “Nige” where Matt says that Rupert’s done that for as long as he can remember; that it’s just Rupert’s way. And also, after being press by the interviewer about his first impression of Dan after their first meeting, he says: “I remember thinking,” says Grint, grinning brilliantly, “that this guy has a really triangular-shaped head.”
You can read the entire article here (it’s well worth the long read!) and see the image that went along with the it here.
February 12th, 11:32am, 2011–Some of you may have gotten a google alert about Rupert Grint attending the Pre-BAFTA party or have seen pictures of his co-star Emma Watson there. Fret not, we have a nice high quality version of the pic that is floating around which you can view in our galleries here. This seems to be the only one, for right now, but if we find more we will update you immediately. Remember we were the first to let you know that Rupert will be attending tomorrow’s BAFTA awards where the Harry Potter franchise will be honored. He will be joined by his co-stars Emma and Bonnie Wright as well as David Heyman and J.K. Rowling!
In other news, don’t forget that at 5pm today we will be doing our first every twitter viewing party! We will be watching Wild Target and using the hashtag #wildtarget. We hope to “see” you there tweeting along with us!
UPDATE: Thanks to Holly we have two more pics of Rupert at the National Motor Museum which you can view here and here.
