Ice Cream Man is an unofficial - though very professional and extremely good looking! - fansite, dedicated to the gorgeous and talented Rupert Grint. Alas, we are in no way affiliated with Rupert, his family or representatives. (*sob*) The site is ad-free and non-profit. All media is the property of their respective owners - no copyright infringement intended.
July 9, 2009 at 10:30 AM–Grint alert! I have finally uploaded the first batch of the videos I filmed two days ago in London, at the world premiere of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. I was given the opportunity to exchange a few words (and smiles) with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Jessie Cave, Freddie Stroma, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Matthew Lewis, Tom Felton, Jim Broadbent, Jason Isaacs, Helen McCrory and the producer David Barron. (I also filmed quite a few others, such as Emma Watson, Bonnie Wright, Evanna Lynch, Devon Murray etc. but didn’t have time to talk to them.) I was sharing the red carpet spot (and the umbrella) with Nick from MuggleNet and Mary from Harry Latino, so I’ll be swapping videos with them as well.
Instead of a classical report, I’m going to let the video clips do the talking! So please head over to this page, where you will find links to the videos and my, hopefully colourful, commentaries.
I will be adding more videos throughout the day, so keep checking this page!
In other news, a few weeks ago CNN invited their viewers to ask the Harry Potter trio whatever they want to, and they have just released the video clip with the trio answering the questions! Watch it here.
July 03, 2009, 11:42pm–HBO just ran their first airing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince special on their series First Look. In this we see Rupert Grint talk about the movie and many behind-the-scenes glimpses of him including new quidditch scenes, meeting Slughorn (Jim Broadbent), Lavender Brown (Jessie Cave), and much much more! One moment shown, which I think everyone was looking forward to, is the bit where Ron hugs onto Slughorn while under the effects of love potion! There were also quite a few new scenes shown including many great Ron scenes. As always, Rupert never disappoints with the comedy. The clip also shows various other moments including the bridge being demolished, as well as how they did it, the cave scenes and of course tons of other moments are featured! Caps coming soon and you can download the video here.
UPDATE: We’ve now added the clips on our youtube account here and here.
June 24, 2009, 5:11pm–A news press release has been issued confirming Rupert Grint and his Harry Potter co-stars attendance to the Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince premiere in New York City at the Ziegfeld theater. It will be held at 6pm on July 9th! Aside from Rupert, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson, co-stars Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) and Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley) will also be in attendance along with director David Yates and producers David Heyman and David Barron. Ice Cream Man intends to not only have yet another premiere convention but we also plan on being on the red carpet! We will keep you up-to-date on anything else with both the London and NYC premieres, so please stay tuned!
Update: LA Times’ Hero Complex has updated it’s blog with an interview with Mark Williams who portrays Rupert Grint’s father Arthur Weasley in the Harry Potter films. There is not much regarding Rupert in the interview, however Mr. Williams did have this to share about Rupert and his co-star Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter) during the early years:
Dan and Rupert could just have this giggle hour. It just reminded me of being back in school. you know, that time around 2 or 3 o’clock, you just couldn’t say anything serious.
When asked if he found it difficult to be caught up in the Harry Potter whirlwind, he said no, but…
for Dan and Emma and Rupert, they haven’t yet got that choice.
