Rupert Grint’s Super Clyde Pilot to air on CBS.com!

SuperClydeIcon2October 6th, 2013, 4:40am– We were all so excited when Rupert Grint was cast as the lead in the CBS pilot Super Clyde, and we were all so disappointed when the show wasn’t picked up for a full series. However, we will now all be able to watch the one episode that Rupert actually shot in Los Angeles in March and April of this year.
The show’s creator Greg Garcia was asked about his projects on reddit.com during an “Ask me Anything” session:

I shot a single camera pilot recently called Super Clyde starring Rupert Grint that didn’t get picked up, but I’m very happy to say that CBS is going to put it on the internet on October 9th — both on CBS.com and a bunch of other places. I was really happy with the way it turned out, so I’m excited people are going to see it. The Millers is taking up a lot of my time right now, but I do have a few things in development that I’m supervising. They are all in the early stages.

So, we only have to wait a few days before we finally get to see Super Clyde – how exciting!

And if Greg Garcia‘s words aren’t enough to convince you that this is really happening, take a look at this screenshot from the CBS official site:

We can’t wait!

Rupert Grint attends Door Youth Project Charity Concert!

RupertNewsIconMay 13th, 2013, 11:20am– On Saturday Rupert Grint attended The Door Youth Project Charity Concert at the Sub Rooms in Stroud. He was there to support his sister Samantha who was playing with her band Ghost of Samantha. Today, we have several pictures from the event of Rupert politely taking pictures with fans and performers. He is looking happy and it is so lovely to see him support his family in all their endeavours.

Stroud FM (a community readio station) was on hand to report on all the music, and they’ve been kind enough to upload some pictures of our boy, taken by Tammy Lynn Kwan.

Rupert‘s appearance at the event also made the local news and Stroud News & Journal describes Rupert like this:

Wearing a black t-shirt with ‘Hormones’ written across in the style of the famous Ramones logo, skinny jeans and a hoodie, he was accompanied by his mum and dad.

You can see all of Tammy Lynn‘s pictures from the event in our gallery here.

In Super Clyde news, the show’s comic book illustrator, Mark Wheatley, posted his amazing drawing of Rupert as Clyde in comic book form on his facebook page. You can view the full size image in our gallery here. He added the following along with the picture which gives us hope that other networks are looking into the pilot.

SUPER CLYDE – so CBS passed on the show and now other networks are taking a look. Greg Garcia, Rupert Grint, Stephen Fry, Tyler Labine and the entire incredible cast and crew created a really sweet pilot. Hard to believe it is having any problem finding a home. I had a great time working with these people!

We are still going through with our Super Clyde Campaign which you can read all about here.

First BTS Picture of Rupert Grint on the Set of Super Clyde!

galleryMarch 24th, 2013, 2:02am–After weeks of table reads and actual shooting of the pilot, we have our very first behind-the-scenes look of Rupert Grint as Clyde in Super Clyde, the CBS pilot he’s filming. It’s not much, but it gives us a small sense of what Clyde will dress like and what style hair he’ll have. We can also see Stephen Fry in the pic dressed up in his butler’s uniform. Maybe we can’t tell all that much, but it just makes us more excited to see the pilot. Keeping everything crossed that CBS picks it up! Check out the photo below or see the full size in our galleries here. And thanks @PeruRupertGrint for coming across this awesome pic!

UPDATE #2: We have another BTS picture of Rupert as Clyde along with Tyler Labine as Duke and Justine Lupe as Faith. You can view it below. (Our gallery is still being worked on, sorry for the inconvenience!)

Rupert Grint: Justine Lupe Added To Super Clyde!

rupertnewsFebruary 26th, 2013, 9:49pm–As the filming date for the pilot of Rupert Grint‘s Super Clyde gets closer (and sorry, we’re unsure of the date, but we know it will be made before the CBS upfronts in May), more cast announcements are coming out. Today, TVLine is reporting that Justine Lupe (Harry’s Law) has been cast as Faith, Clyde’s older sister. It’s been rumored that Faith will have once been an obese person who uses the inheritance to gain revenge on those who made fun of her during this time. (Please remember, until we have more information, please take that with a grain of salt.) We do know that there are still several roles yet to be cast including Clyde’s love interest, an uncle, as well plus a character named Mr. Randolph (no information about this character is currently available). Stay tuned for more!

Rupert Grint: Tyler Labine Cast As Clyde’s Brother!

rupertnewsFebruary 23rd, 2013, 1:55am–As you know, Rupert Grint was cast in a CBS pilot called ‘Super Clyde‘. Tonight we bring you more news in the form of casting of Clyde’s older brother: Tyler Labine who will play the character Duke. This is according to Entertainment Weekly. Labine’s other credits include The CW’s Reaper, Fox’s Sons of Tucson, CBS’ Mad Love and NBC’s Animal Practice. This also means that Rupert will most likely be putting on an American accent for the show. (While this seemed obvious to me, there were some out there wondering, so I think this news tells us he will be an American character.) For a recap, Super Clyde centers around a meek unassuming fast food worker who decides to become a super hero.

We also want to remind you that while Rupert has been casted in this role, it does not mean that this will be picked up by CBS. This is only a pilot. And although this one seems to have the most buzz, that sadly means little. Of course, if you ask me, I think it would be great compared with The Big Bang Theory, don’t you?

UPDATE: For those interesting The Hollywood Reporter has a bit more on Labine’s character: “Labine will play Clyde’s older brother Duke, an ex-jock type who is the kind of crass slob whose imagination doesn’t go anywhere beyond his own creature comforts. Duke gets an unexpected windfall: a long-delayed $100,000 per month inheritance from his dead uncle, Bill.”
