Rupert Grint: “Mojo” Press Night Coverage!

MojoIcon3November 13th, 2013, 6:25pm– Rupert Grint and his fellow Mojo costars have just made their curtain call bows for the official Mojo press night. And it sounds like it was a roaring success where they could even enjoy a standing ovation from the audience.

We are slowly starting to get pictures from the afterparty and we will keep updating our gallery here while pictures trickle in.
Rupert has decided to team up with Daniel Mays (our new favourite bromance!) – they are wearing matching t-shirts which are decorated with a funny quote from the play: “Fish are jumping and the cotton is hight”.

UPDATE: BBC News has a new article about the opening night of Mojo and even have comments from almost all the actors about the play. You can read the entire article here, but you can read Rupert‘s comments about his stage debut below:

“It’s great that for my stage debut I’m such a long way from anything I’ve done until now,” Rupert Grint says.

“I’ve been offered stage things before and I always hesitated: I thought I wasn’t ready. I didn’t know Jez’s play at all so it was a big leap of faith – but that also goes for Ian Rickson (the director). But we’ve had the luxury of 19 previews to get it right and it’s been an amazing experience.

But is he finding it hard to work straight through for two-and-a-half hours, after spending his teens in the endless stop-start process of making movies?

“Well that’s what the rehearsals do for you. It’s more intense and deeper than in the cinema. In film you dip in and out, with big distractions in between: you don’t go into much detail. Theatre is exhausting in a way film-making usually isn’t. But it’s also really rewarding.”

Exclusive: RG.us attends Mojo Opening Night – Report, Pictures & Video!

ExclusiveNewsIconNovember 4th, 2013, 12:30pm– When Rupert Grint made his stage debut last Saturday (October 26th) in Mojo, the staff at RG.us was in attendance. It was an incredible night and we are all so proud of Rupert for taking this huge step in his career.

Since we had 5 staffers in London for the play, we wanted to give you all one review featuring all of our opinions instead of 5 separete reviews. So we all met on Skype and made a ReviewChat where we simply chatted about all our favourite things from the play, with focus on Rupert of course.

You can read our ReviewChat HERE.

We had some really eventful few days in London, and we’ve made a special report where we summarize our amazing meet-ups with Rupert. Although, we did not sit down with him for an official interview, we did have the opportunity to ask him some questions about Mojo and his first experience with stage work.

Read our report HERE and check out a few of our pictures HERE.

Below, you can watch a video of us meeting Rupert the evening before the opening night:

As a bonus, The Sunday Times had an interview with Rupert featuring a brand new (and pretty!) photoshoot. You can check out the scans in our gallery here. It’s well worth the read since we learn more new things about Rupert than we’ve done in ages.

Again, we urge any and all Rupert fans to go and see Mojo. You can buy tickets for the play here!
