Rupert Grint’s interviews on BBC, Daily Telegraph & Collider!
November 10th, 2010, 11:10 AM — One more to go for the London Premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 and the media all over the world are releasing press junkets or on-set reports and interviews of cast and crew during filming.
Firstly, you can see Rupert Grint featured in BBC’s interview of the trio along with Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson. In this, Rupert talks about how he did not prepare himself for the last day of filming and how emotional that experience turned out to be for him. You can view this interview here.
Then there is a interview of Rupert while filming was still on which is done by Collider. In this, he speaks about lots of things that were being filmed and explores a bit more of Ron Weasley’s character and the emotional ups and downs that play out throughout the film. He also speaks about where he wants to see himself in 20 years. You can read the entire article here.
Collider also interviewed Mark Williams(Arthur Weasley), the patriah of the Weasley family who spoke fondly about the affection he has for his onscreen family and how he had to step in when he felt like they were slacking at shoots. He recalls a night he spent with Rupert and the Phelp Twins outside of shooting where he was thought of as the dad of the boys. You can read the rest of the interview here.
Is there anyone in particular you’ve kind of developed almost a fatherly bond with?
MW: Well, all of them really. I have been kind of ginger leader, papa Weasley. It used to be quite funny because sometimes — it’s a long, old haul, especially when you’re an adolescent, or a pre-adolescent, night shoots and stuff like that, and I used to have to go and be like, ‘Come on. You’ve already been up all night.’ But I can honestly say they’ve all been brilliant, and just recently I went out with the twins and Rupert, and we went out for a curry and a pint, that was hilarious. There were a load of teenagers with their phones, really polite, going, ‘Can we take a picture of you?’ to the guys. And one girl turned to me and said, ‘And your dad.’ (laughter) So it’s been an absolute pleasure.
Thanks Laura for the tips!
Another interview by Australia’s Daily Telegraph labels Rupert as one with ‘The Cool Factor’ of the trio. In this Rupert speaks of his future and how he has been offered roles to play the best friend which he has been considering. And he spoke a little about his future role as Eddie the Eagle as well. Read a snippet of the interview below and the rest here.
Has he already started training in order to look like he can ski as badly as Eddie did? Grint laughs. “Yeah, well, I’ve never skiied in my life, so it’ll probably be quite easy.”
Rupert will be on ITV’s morning show Daybreak on Friday, 12th November. So UK’ers be sure check that out. But keep checking back as there will more interviews coming in and we will keep posting continously as and when the news breaks out.
