Calling all Rupert Grint Fans in Canada: Poster Contest to Celebrate Canadian Release of CBGB!

cbgb icon2November 27th, 2013, 3:59pm– Rupert Grint_V2 We sure hope all Canadian Rupert Grint fans are ready to be rocked by Cheetah Chrome and the rest of The Dead Boys in CBGB, because the movie is being released in Canada in the coming days. The film is
getting a limited theatrical release from November 29 – December 4 at the Yonge/Dundas Theatre in Toronto, but you can also watch the film NOW on iTunes.

To celebrate this release, we’ve teamed up with Union Pictures (the Canadian distributor) to give away a rockin’ CBGB poster featuring Rupert as Cheetah Chrome along with Justin Bartha (as Stiv Bators), Alan Rickman (as Hilly Kristal), Stana Katic (as Genya Ravan), Ashley Greene (as Lisa Kristal) and many more. You can see the poster in our gallery HERE… colourful, beautiful and pretty badass!

All you have to do to win this awesome poster is: answer the following three questions and live in Canada.

1. Where was CBGB the movie filmed?
2. When did Rupert film CBGB? (specific dates please)
3. How many different outfits does Rupert, as Cheetah Chrome, wear in the movie?

E-mail your answers to staff@rupert-grint.us (subject: “CBGB Poster Contest“). The contest will end one week from now (december 4th). We will randomly pick a winner from all the correct answers.

Rupert Grint: My CBGB Review!

cbgb icon2September 8th, 2013, 12:39am–While you were still recovering from those wonderful FHM pictures, I was watching CBGB (and yes still recovering from those pictures as well!) as it is now available on DirecTV. For those who are able to get Directv Cinema, you can watch it any time you want until October 2nd. But if you’re unable to I have complied a VERY spoilery review of the movie. It’s heavily Rupert Grint related where I describe every scene Rupert is in. In the rest though I do give an honest opinion about the movie (fantastic) and some of the actors such as Stana Katic, Ashley Greene, and of course Alan Rickman. You can read my (again very spoilery) review here.

I’m willing to answer any questions you may have to the best of my ability. So hit me up in the comments if you have any! And I hope you enjoy the review.

THR also announced that XLrator Media have gained the distributional rights for CBGB in the U.S., and we will of course keep you updated when the film will officially be released.
The CEO of XLrator Media, Barry Gordon, had this to say about CBGB:

CBGB is one of the most iconic and authentic names in music history, and Randy’s extraordinary film is a raucously entertaining celebration of the music and artists that have defined the culture for decades. CBGB is the rare film that will resonate with teens, millennials and legacy fans alike. The whole family can jump in the mosh pit together for this one!

We will also keep you updated on whether Rupert will attend the premiere.

In other news, we are getting closer and closer to know whether or not Super Clyde is picked up by CBS. All we can do is cross our fingers, but luckily lots of buzz has surrounded the show in the media. You can vote for Super Clyde as the pilot you most want to be made into a series here as well as read the positives vs. the negatives of the pilot.

Furthermore, you can enjoy four screenshots of Rupert at last week’s British Animal Honours where he presented the very first honour of the night – check them out in the gallery here. A video of his appearance is not yet available, but we will update if we get our hands on it.
