moonwalkersicon2Rupert Grint’s Promotion for Moonwalkers!January 12th, 2016, 7:17pm–As Moonwalkers near its release date this Friday, Rupert Grint has been doing promotion for the film. Earlier today he took over Alchemy’s, the distributor of the film, twitter account. We have all the questions available to read for your convenience right here! We’re really excited that our very own Malene had a few of her questions answered!

Rupert also sat down with MTV to discuss the last few years after Potter ended where he confesses that he decided to keep a low profile after the films ended to get back to his life. However, now he’s ready and what does he really want to play? A villain! He also mentions his upcoming NBC drama, doing more serious, dramatic stuff, and how theater made him fall in love with acting again. You can read all about it here.

And Popsugar is next on our list for a quick interview where Rupert talks about Stanley Kubrick and what films Rupert loves from the director, what drew him to Moonwalkers, and what it was like working with Ron Perlman. You can read the whole thing here.

Keep an eye on this post as there may be more interviews and other promotions going on for the film. How excited are you for Moonwalkers and all this great and new Rupert stuff?

UPDATE: A new interview has surfaced with Rupert alongside co-star Robert Sheehan. This amazing interview takes us right back to the Cherrybomb days where we got similar bromantic love:

Rupert Grint: Our Review Of Moonwalkers!

moonwalkersicon2Rupert Grint: Our Review Of Moonwalkers!January 10th, 2016, 11:29pm–Over the weekend was given a chance to review Moonwalkers. The quick? Rupert Grint, Robert Sheehan, and Ron Perlman are of course amazing and the movie is a pretty enjoyable ride. Of course, I know everyone wants more! So I’ve written a little review about the film. In case you somehow forgot, the movie is due out in the US on January 15th and will be available in select theaters, Netflix, and iTunes. For those of you who can access any of these, I suggest doing it – you won’t be disappointed! But if you’re still not convinced somehow, you can read our (slightly biased) review here. Please be aware that there are slight spoilers in the review.

Moonwalkers News Roundup!

moonwalkersicon2Moonwalkers News Roundup!January 8th, 2016, 12:32am–This time next week, Rupert Grint‘s Moonwalkers will be available in the US. As you may have learned through our social media, not only will it hit select theaters on January 15th, but it will also be available to stream on Netflix. And today we learn that you will also be able to buy it on iTunes on the same day (it’s currently available for pre-order)! Alchemy just released an exclusive clip on iTunes, and though it’s the same as we’ve seen when the film premiered at SXSW last year, the first few seconds are completely new. Also, the great thing about the iTunes release is that you get iTunes extras which is said to include: Deleted scenes, extra stills, cast interviews, and much more! And if that wasn’t enough to get you excited, the film will be released on February 23rd on Blu-ray and DVD. You can pre-order that through Amazon.

Happy New Year!

CXjp-lvUkAADRDgHappy New Year!December 31st, 2015, 6:23pm–The year of 2015 started off with Rupert in his last few weeks of playing Sir Frank Finger in It’s Only A Play where Rupert also earned two audience awards in Favorite Featured Actor In A Play and Favorite Breakthrough Performance (Male). He also appeared in Tom Felton’s documentary “Tom Felton Meets The Super Fans.” And while a lot of acting gigs didn’t come up much, there were quite a few notable exceptions. Rupert took on the role of August “Gustl” Kubizek, Hitler’s best friend in the early years of his adult life in a TV movie titled “The Artist.” Rupert also did another variety show playing “himself” on The Tracey Ullman Show. During this time it was also announced that NBC had a put pilot agreement (meaning that NBC must show the pilot) for the 2016/2017 TV season in which it was reported that he’ll also serve as producer. Rupert will be playing a character named Rupert, whose father created a comic book series titled Imperial City. The character discovers that the whole place is real! He also lent his voice to the Tom Gates book series. And while Rupert didn’t have a lot of projects going on in 2015, he certainly used up his time well. He once again attended the Starlight Charity Christmas Party at Downing Street. As you may remember, Rupert has served as ambassador for this great cause last year. That’s not the only charity he supported this year! He once again attended The Pride of Britain AwardsWe Are Macmillan Cancer Support which held the largest fundraising event, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, where Rupert submitted a recipe: Stem Ginger and Chocolate Biscuits! He, along with the Phelps twins and Tom Felton, attended Canadian Fan Expo where he signed autographs and posed for pictures with Harry Potter fans! Rupert also did some promotion for Moonwalkers appearing at the SXSW Festival to support the film as well as doing a live interview with the Japanese promoters of the film.

Rupert’s 2016 so far looks amazing. As mentioned earlier, Rupert will be working on his untitled comic book drama sometime (probably early) this year. Moonwalkers will be out in US theaters and Netflix on January 15th and will also be hitting theaters in France (March 3rd) and Belgium (January 27th) with additional countries to come! And while we don’t know the extent of promotion – or if they’ll be any – we hope that Rupert will be doing some rounds for the film. As noted it was announced in 2015 that Rupert would star in an untitled NBC comic book drama in the states. While there is no concrete date set, these things usually start filming early in the new year. Rupert will also be taking part in A Harry Potter Celebration at the Wizarding World in Orland, FL along side many of his Harry Potter co-stars. We can’t wait to see what else the new year will bring!

Ice Cream Man also had a great 2015! We gave the press archives a new look which is absolutely stunning, but one of our biggest moments for the site was the relaunch of the media site! We have over 1,500 videos thus far and always adding more. This is one of our best efforts of the media site and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort and hope that you’ve enjoyed it as much as we did rebuilding it! And while a lot of the year was quiet just like Rupert’s year was, we hope to bring you the very best in 2016! We strive to bring you the latest Rupert news and have the most extensive website for him. It’s been well over 10 years since our launch, and it’s been quite the ride! And we hope we’re here for many more years to come for Rupert and all the fans.

Everyone at Ice Cream Man wishes Rupert and his family and all the fans a Happy New Year and we hope you had a great holiday season!
