Here is how Rupert described his character Ron Weasley, and what state he is in during the last films:

“It’s hard for Ron, I think, because if he wants to be a loyal friend, that means he has to sacrafice seeing his family and that’s something he’s worried about…”

And Rupert’s explanation on why he waited so long to read the last book:

“I think I was the last one to read it. I don’t know why I didn’t, because I’m a big fan of the books; I’ve read all of them. But I was nervous because I’d been hearing so much about characters dying and not making it through to the end. And I wanted Ron to survive!”

The magazine went behind the scenes and spoke to the stars in Leavesden Studios about their grueling shooting schedule for the last two movies as well as about the end of an era in the HP franchise. You have look at a sneak peek of the article here.

August 26th, 2010, 8:26 pm–It has been an amazing week for Rupert Grint fans as they had the opportunity to meet him in London for a special Q&A session to promote the DVD release of his indie film Cherrybomb! If you missed the news or haven’t checked out the updates head on over to our exclusive coverage page to catch up! Meanwhile staffers Anna and Karo are still on their adventure, so until they make it back with their full report we wanted to share with you some special reports straight from the fans!

First up is the lovely Malene and her sister Majbritt who met up with ICM for both events. She not only took hundreds of great photos but has also sent in her personal thoughts on the entire experience! Malene shares her initial feelings on meeting Rupert, her interactions with him and much more!

Excerpt:

When it was my turn, I came towards Rupert, held out my hand to shake his and said hello. The first thing I did was give him his birthday present from me – I wanted to give him something very Danish, and I tried to explain to him that the only thing we Danes do good is alcohol. I had bought him three small bottles of an alcoholic drink called “Gammel Dansk” (ie. Old Danish). His response was: “I love that!” He then signed my Blag magazine (“To Malene, Love Rupert”… aaww). Tom Deacon took the picture of us, and then I decided to be brave – I asked if I could get a hug, and as always Rupert was a complete sweetheart and made my entire day, week, month, year and decade by giving me a hug.

August 25th, 2010, 11:56 PM–We have just spoken to the representatives with Icon Film Distribution Australia and they have confirmed to us that Rupert Grint’s latest film Wild Target is going to get a wide audience release in Australia on November 11th 2010! The film will be shown through Hoyts which is one of the biggest chain of movie theatres in Australia! Hoyts cinemas has become one of the world’s leading entertainment corporations. Hoyts Australia and New Zealand owns and operates 43 cinemas with over 400 screens and more than 75,000 seats.

We will be doing the Australian promotion and have posters and other goodies later this year so keep a look out! Congrats Aussie fans!

Update: We also wanted to update you on the release date for Wild Target’s Blu-ray release in Germany. The original date of December 9th has now been changed to January 20th 2011 according to Amazon.de.

August 24th, 2010, 9:23pm–We are really excited to reveal that ICM had the opportunity to interview Rupert Grint a few days ago and we asked him a few Birthday themed questions for a special Grintastic fanzine designed to celebrate his big 22nd birthday! Rupert was asked about his best birthday experience, whom he would have serenade him in a birthday song and also describes his fond memories in the kitchen helping his mom out with her wedding cake decorating!

A big thanks to Rupert for taking the time to chat with us and we hope you guys enjoyed reading a few new facts about him.

August 24th, 2010, 5:43 PM– We recently reported that Rupert Grint’s latest film Wild Target will be available to rent in the UK  October 11th and now we can confirm that HMV.com will have the movie on sale for purchase the same day! Wild Target will be available in both DVD and Blu-Ray formats. Pre-orders are available at HMV.
