Ice Cream Man is an unofficial - though very professional and extremely good looking! - fansite, dedicated to the gorgeous and talented Rupert Grint. Alas, we are in no way affiliated with Rupert, his family or representatives. (*sob*) The site is ad-free and non-profit. March 8th, 2011, 8:39pm–In a new Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 behind-the-scenes video released from the Harry Potter Quest site Emma Watson and Rhys Ifans talks about corpsing on set and that how, this time, it was Emma who was having the issues! The actors received red cards for each time they messed up a scene by laughing and would owe five pounds. Rhys says that it was Rupert Grint who ended up owing about 80 pounds. We wonder, what did it get up to by the end of the entire shoot? Deathly Hallows took over a year to film and the Xeno scenes were only done for a few weeks! I’m sure Rupert owed more by then! You can view the video below and don’t forget to check out our own YouTube channel as we have many interviews from this years BAFTAs along with some Half-Blood Prince scenes we’ve just added!
We also have some more gallery updates. This time a few pictures from Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and Thunderpants. The Sorcerer’s Stone picture is a studio shot that you can view here and the Thunderpants pictures are stills from the movie which you can view here.
April 27th, 2010, 10:52pm–As previously reported, Rupert Grint was to have a spread within in the May 2010 issue of Nylon Magazine which is dedicated to Young Hollywood. We finally have a scan of his spread thanks to Team Twilight. In the article that accompanies the picture Rupert discusses his miniature farm which his mom and sister are really into. Alan Rickman and Julie Walters’ impact on him. Plus the fact that he continually gets scripts for geeky roles which he says he passes by! We also get a nice little blurb about Thunderpants which he loved doing and we hear a little more about his ice cream van! You can view the scan in our gallery here.
October 25, 2009, 10:45am–As Rupert Grint is a busy actor with no less than three feature films coming out next year (Cherrybomb, Wild Target and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I), we are very happy to present our new sub-site Rupert Grint Filmography!
With a focus on Rupert and his characters, we have assembled all the information you need (you DO need to know what Ron is eating on his first train ride to Hogwarts, don’t you?). Aside from his films, you can also find lots of (new!) information on Rupert’s TV and radio work.
Instead of simply picking up facts from well-known movie websites, we have done research, re-read our freshly-launched Press Archives, browsed this website and shook up our Pensieves. And of course we watched, re-watched, rewinded, stopped and watched-in-slow-motion all the films (or, as in the case of Half-Blood Prince and Cherrybomb, took notes in the darkness of the theatre).
Go check it out here, and we hope you enjoy the amazing layout… doesn’t it remind you of the comfy interior of a theatre?
And a big round of applause for our amazing staffer Karo who singlehandedly wrote and built 90% of the Filmography subsite! Girl, you rock!
August 1st, 2009, 3:29pm–It has been a very eventful year so far for Rupert Grint who has completed three film projects and is still getting positive reviews about his performance in the new Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. This one coming fromMovieMoxie.
But the trouble making isn’t left to just Harry, the trio is completed with strong performances by both Rupert Grint as Ron finding his own feet and Emma Watson as the head and heart strong Hermione.
With success comes curiosity, so it seems many people are now discovering some of his early work. Several reviews are now popping up about Thunderpants.
And as an extra gain you will find great Rupert Grint from Harry Potter, as Alan A. Allen, a genius kid with no sense of smell. Taragana.com
Thankfully, when the relentless adolescent flatulating becomes too much to endure, you still have Rupert Grint and an out-of-place Paul Giamatti to keep you company for the duration. shan.biz
We have added even a few more so for the latest check out Rave Reviews. For those new to the fandom, check out our Thunderpants page here.
Reminder: Don’t forget we have to send off Rupert’s 21st Birthday Gift soon and you still have time to participate. We have two projects going on. Click here for more information and details. And for a sneak peak on the submissions you can view them on our forum. Feel free to email us with any questions, email@example.com.
Last but certainly not least the Lovely Laura has created a new August Calendar to kick of the Birthday Month for Rupes. You’ll find a permanent link to it on our panel but you can also click here. Thank you Laura!
April 10, 2009, 5:14pm–On this slow news weekend we have added a few scans to the gallery. First of all is a scan from the Belfast Film Festival book that you could obtain at Belfast. A nice full page with an accompanying Cherrybomb photo featuring Rupert Grint as Malachy and Kimberley Nixon as Michelle (a high-res version of this photo can be seen in our galleries here.) along with a small unknown tidbit about the running time of the movie as it appeared in Belfast. It clocked in at 80 minutes long. You may view that here.
Another scan is an Irish Times article with Mark Huffman who created Generator Entertainment which is producing the film. The article only briefly mentions Rupert (talking about his star power) but has a nice color photo of the now infamous pool scene that is featured on the poster. You may view that here.
In other news, Rupert’s first non-Potter movie, Thunderpants, will be shown in the UK on Channel 4 this coming Monday at 11:10am!
