Happy New Year!

sitenewsDecember 31st, 2012, 4:22pm—In a few short hours, many of us will finally be celebrating 2013. However, the year 2012 for Rupert Grint and his fans has been a fantastic one. First came the premiere of Into The White in which Rupert played Gunner Robert Smith to much praise in the Norwegian press. The film is currently out on DVD in many countries. In the UK it is known as Cross of Honour, and for those with a blu-ray player you’ll be able to see the film without any region restrictions on it. He also took on the role of Carl in The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman opposite Shia LaBeouf which will premiere in January at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. He also signed on to play in the Beach Boys drummer Brian Wilson biopic The Dummer as Stan Shapiro opposite Aaron Eckhart and Chloe Grace Moretz. He also recently completed the film CBGB – the famous punk nigh club in New York City – as The Dead Boys guitarist Cheetah Chrome. He plays opposite his former Harry Potter co-star Alan Rickman. Rupert also voiced a documentary called We Are Aliens as well as voicing his first cartoon character in American on American Dad as Liam. And one of the most exciting things for Rupert was carrying the Olympic torch for the 2012 summer games.

Rupert’s 2013 should be just as exciting. As stated above, TNDCC will premiere in 2013, but CBGB is also slated to open in the US this coming year. He should start filming The Drummer in the coming year as well. Rupert may also play Rosse in a film adaption of Macbeth which will be called Enemy of Man. Rupert’s long awaited movie animation debut, Postman Pat: You Know You’re The One will be out by the end of the coming year. And I’m sure there will be many other projects to look forward to!

Ice Cream Man had a stellar 2012 as well. We were able to get many exclusives when Into The White premiered in Norway this year. We also were lucky enough to have an exclusive phone interview with Rupert. We also were the only fansite lucky enough to have an interview with Rupert when he carried the Olympic touch. And a few days ago we launched our exclusives site thanks to the hard work of dedicated staffers Karo and Kathy. And we continue to work to bring you the best possible website.

We are sure that 2013 will be just as exciting when TNDCC and CBGB are premiered this year. As always, we plan to bring you the best exclusives possible. Our website will always feature the latest and most up-to-date gallery and we hope to have a relaunch of the media site as well as a new forum.

But most of all, we hope that you guys had an awesome 2012 and an even better 2013. We also would like to wish Rupert and his family a Happy New Year!

December 15, 2012, 3:53am– We don’t have to wait long before Rupert Grint‘s latest adventure in the cinematic world is premiering. As we told you earlier, The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January – now the exact screening schedule has been released.

The film will be screened four times and the schedule is as follows:

1/21/2013 6:30 pm
Eccles Theatre, Park City
1/22/2013 9:00 am
Eccles Theatre, Park City
1/25/2013 9:30 pm
Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, Salt Lake City
1/26/2013 11:59 pm
Library Center Theatre, Park City

We also have a new and the very first mini review of the film as well as the length, which is set at 108 min.

Fredrik Bond’s stylistically assured debut feature spins a drug-fueled fable of high-stakes romance, in which wearing your heart on your sleeve will leave you a bloody mess. A dynamic lead performance by Shia LaBeouf sees him pummeled at every turn as he desperately fights for the magnetic Evan Rachel Wood. The couple squares off against a dream pairing of movie bad guys: Mads Mikkelsen and Til Schweiger. This gorgeously shot adventure, with a hard-charging score setting its pace, provides a truly unique vision of the pain and ecstasy of love.

We are still awaiting word whether or not Rupert will attend the festival, so stay tuned!
