Rupert-Grint.us Exclusive Interview with Rupert Grint at Berlinale!

sitenewsFebruary 15, 2013, 4:14 pm– This past weekend, Rupert Grint attended the International Premiere of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman at Berlin Film Festival and not only walked the Red Carpet, but also participated in a Press Call on Sunday. Four of our staffers had the chance to interview him, and Rupert answered our questions about his character Karl and the film, and once again participated in a photo interview like last year in Oslo.

“And my character was quite a challenge, I suppose, although he is only a tiny part of the film, the character kept changing.
Originally, in the script, I was German and I got my head around playing a German person, but in the end, there were so many accents in the film that they thought it would be too much, so they went away from that version.
I was a virgin at one point, which would have been another weird direction there. So it was a lot of work figuring out who I was.”

You can read the full interview here, and the photo interview here. (Note that the last question was four days before the news of Super Clyde…)

We know that you not only like to read his interviews, so you can find HQ pictures from our interview in our Gallery, and an audio on our youtube channel, or enjoy the video below:

Since all four of us had the opportunity to watch the movie (twice), we also have finished our review chat – although we must give out a warning that we cover adult themes as is the case in the film. If you’re of age, you may read it here. In case you have any questions about the film or our review, simply use the comments to ask.

And finally, Jessica, the lucky winner of our competition for two tickets to the premiere, has also written up a short report about her experience, which you can read here!

We would like to thank Rupert for taking the time and for giving us such a great time in Berlin, and to his team, esp. “Bonnie” and “Hamish” for making this happen! ;)

On our Timeline, you will find all the important dates of Rupert’s professional life: filming dates, premieres, film confirmations, promotion days, photoshoots, charity events and award ceremonies. We have covered no less than 300 events altogether so far, and we will continue to update as we go along.

Click HERE to get straight to our Timeline. Scroll back and forth on the Timeline so view the events and click on the events for further information; or use the years to view the Timeline in lists.

We have also updated the Quotes section and the ‘Grint Tale’ on the Biography page as well as the Filmography with details on The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman.

And for those wondering, we have asked about the “project” mentioned in the recent article from USA Today, but Rupert’s reps couldn’t say anything yet. Fingers crossed!

Happy New Year!

sitenewsDecember 31st, 2012, 4:22pm—In a few short hours, many of us will finally be celebrating 2013. However, the year 2012 for Rupert Grint and his fans has been a fantastic one. First came the premiere of Into The White in which Rupert played Gunner Robert Smith to much praise in the Norwegian press. The film is currently out on DVD in many countries. In the UK it is known as Cross of Honour, and for those with a blu-ray player you’ll be able to see the film without any region restrictions on it. He also took on the role of Carl in The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman opposite Shia LaBeouf which will premiere in January at the prestigious Sundance Film Festival. He also signed on to play in the Beach Boys drummer Brian Wilson biopic The Dummer as Stan Shapiro opposite Aaron Eckhart and Chloe Grace Moretz. He also recently completed the film CBGB – the famous punk nigh club in New York City – as The Dead Boys guitarist Cheetah Chrome. He plays opposite his former Harry Potter co-star Alan Rickman. Rupert also voiced a documentary called We Are Aliens as well as voicing his first cartoon character in American on American Dad as Liam. And one of the most exciting things for Rupert was carrying the Olympic torch for the 2012 summer games.

Rupert’s 2013 should be just as exciting. As stated above, TNDCC will premiere in 2013, but CBGB is also slated to open in the US this coming year. He should start filming The Drummer in the coming year as well. Rupert may also play Rosse in a film adaption of Macbeth which will be called Enemy of Man. Rupert’s long awaited movie animation debut, Postman Pat: You Know You’re The One will be out by the end of the coming year. And I’m sure there will be many other projects to look forward to!

Ice Cream Man had a stellar 2012 as well. We were able to get many exclusives when Into The White premiered in Norway this year. We also were lucky enough to have an exclusive phone interview with Rupert. We also were the only fansite lucky enough to have an interview with Rupert when he carried the Olympic touch. And a few days ago we launched our exclusives site thanks to the hard work of dedicated staffers Karo and Kathy. And we continue to work to bring you the best possible website.

We are sure that 2013 will be just as exciting when TNDCC and CBGB are premiered this year. As always, we plan to bring you the best exclusives possible. Our website will always feature the latest and most up-to-date gallery and we hope to have a relaunch of the media site as well as a new forum.

But most of all, we hope that you guys had an awesome 2012 and an even better 2013. We also would like to wish Rupert and his family a Happy New Year!

Introducing Rupert-Grint.us Exclusives!

December 30, 2012, 7:49am– Just before the year is drawing to a close, we are happy to introduce to all you Rupert Grint fans our new sub-site: Rupert-Grint.us Exclusives!

2012 has been a great year for Rupert, and once again, we staffers have had amazing experiences, for example at the Into the White World Premiere in Oslo, the Grand Opening of Warner Bros Studio Tour, the Olympic Torch Relay and of course our Phone Interview with Rupert Grint himself.
Travelling to those events is definitely one of the highlights of being a staff member, and therefore we decided to create a special place for what we have brought back.

So finally, after a long time, we have finished moving all our assembled goodies to one place – but not only that! You can also find previously un-published reports, transcripts and, most importantly, videos and audios from interviews and red carpets on our new site (want to hear composer David Holmes gushing over Rupert’s Belfast accent in Cherrybomb?). You can also find the clip if you head over to our Exclusives Youtube channel, and make sure to subscribe!

Once again, we would like to that Flor from Sweet-Revelation.net for creating a gorgeous layout with our very own, self-taken pictures of Rupert Grint!

And also, a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us in bringing these Exclusives together, especially of course to Rupert himself, and to his entire team!
We are already looking forward to what next year will bring!
