Ice Cream Man is an unofficial - though very professional and extremely good looking! - fansite, dedicated to the gorgeous and talented Rupert Grint. Alas, we are in no way affiliated with Rupert, his family or representatives. (*sob*) The site is ad-free and non-profit. June 6th, 2013, 2:28pm– We are all waiting eagerly for Rupert Grint‘s next project to be announced. And while we wait, we have decided to start an online petition to get Rupert the role as the next Doctor in the iconic show Doctor Who.
Matt Smith has just announced that he is leaving the show at the end of this season, and this means that the creators are looking for the right actor to become the 12th doctor. Several articles have appeared mentioning Rupert as one of the front-runners to take over after Matt Smith.
Our petition is just a fun way for all the fans to show their support and have their voices heard. But who knows? If this petition gets a lot of signatures, it might get noticed by some people who have say in this decision. So SIGN the petition and SPREAD the word – we want as many names as possible on this list.
March 16, 2013, 3:47pm– Today, we are ready to bring something back that was very popular among all you lovely Rupert Grint fans a little while ago: our beloved forum. We have had it under construction for some time, but we finally think that it’s time to bring it back so that we can all discuss everything Rupert related in the same place. Rupert has so many projects recently finished, not yet released or just about to begin. So we want to discuss and analyze all of Rupert‘s projects with you all, whether it be his former projects like Harry Potter or Driving Lessons, or his new and exciting releases like CBGB or The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman, or the fact that Stephen Fry has just been confirmed to star alongside Rupert in Super Clyde. So join us and have some fun talking about everything and anything Rupert right HERE – it should be easy for everyone to sign up, but if you have any questions or problems, don’t hesitate to write us here in the comments or email us at email@example.com.
To start everyone off, why don’t we go to the forums and discuss Rupert‘s brilliant Scouse accent in Into the White, which is perfectly depicted in this new clip released from the film:
March 10, 2013, 6:25 am– We only have one more Rupert Grint goodie from Berlinale to share with all you wonderful fans, and this time we are auctioning off a very special Berlinale 2013 poster signed by Rupert Grint, Fredrik Bond and Til Schweiger.
The poster was autographed by the guys the day of our exclusive interview which occured the day after the International Premiere of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman at the Berlin International Film Festival (Sunday, February 10th 2013).
We are auctioning off this amazing poster because Rupert made a very special and personal request – he wanted this poster to raise money for the Birmingham Children’s Hospital where a friend of his family is undergoing chemotherapy. Of course we wanted to make this wish come true, and now we just need YOU to start bidding for the poster on our special ebay page. The auction will go on for 10 days and all the proceeds will go to the Birmingham Children’s Hospital. This is open for everyone everywhere in the world.
All you need to do is go HERE and bid the amount you’d be willing to give for the poster. Every little bit helps – Birmingham Children’s Hospital writes:
Whether its £5 to fund some crayons and colouring books whilst waiting for test results, or £42,000 for a life saving machine that operates as a mechanical heart. Charitable donations are key to making us what we are: a centre of paediatric excellence that the whole country depends on.
February 15, 2013, 4:14 pm– This past weekend, Rupert Grint attended the International Premiere of The Necessary Death of Charlie Countryman at Berlin Film Festival and not only walked the Red Carpet, but also participated in a Press Call on Sunday. Four of our staffers had the chance to interview him, and Rupert answered our questions about his character Karl and the film, and once again participated in a photo interview like last year in Oslo.
“And my character was quite a challenge, I suppose, although he is only a tiny part of the film, the character kept changing.
Originally, in the script, I was German and I got my head around playing a German person, but in the end, there were so many accents in the film that they thought it would be too much, so they went away from that version.
I was a virgin at one point, which would have been another weird direction there. So it was a lot of work figuring out who I was.”
You can read the full interviewhere, and the photo interviewhere. (Note that the last question was four days before the news of Super Clyde…)
We know that you not only like to read his interviews, so you can find HQ pictures from our interview in our Gallery, and an audio on our youtube channel, or enjoy the video below:
Since all four of us had the opportunity to watch the movie (twice), we also have finished our review chat – although we must give out a warning that we cover adult themes as is the case in the film. If you’re of age, you may read it here. In case you have any questions about the film or our review, simply use the comments to ask.
And finally, Jessica, the lucky winner of our competition for two tickets to the premiere, has also written up a short report about her experience, which you can read here!
We would like to thank Rupert for taking the time and for giving us such a great time in Berlin, and to his team, esp. “Bonnie” and “Hamish” for making this happen!

If you need to become more excited about this film, take a little gander in our gallery where we have added all the official stills that have released so far. We can only wait (im)patiently for the first glimpse of Rupert in the film to be released.
Also, MTV has just released the very first clip from the film featuring Shia LaBeouf and Evan Rachel Wood. This short clip gives us a great impression of the general feel of the film and makes us even more excited to see Rupert as Carl, the aspiring porn star.
