Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!December 31th, 2016, 3:40pm– It’s the end of 2016 and that time where we look back at the highlights of the year in the Rupert Grint fandom and look ahead to what 2017 will bring.

January started off with the release of Moonwalkers in the US and that gave us interviews featuring Rupert alongside Robert Sheehan (which took us right back to the Cherrybomb days). While the Moonwalkers promotion was underway, we also saw Rupert’s appearance on The Tracey Ullman’s Show appear online.

At the end of January, Rupert attended The Celebration of Harry Potter in Orlando where he met up with his former costars Matthew Lewis, Bonnie Wright, Evanna Lynch and Katie Leung. The weekend was full of fun panels and interviews with the Harry Potter alums and this was also the time we found out that Rupert is in fact a Hufflepuff.
While in Florida, Rupert supported the charity Give Kids the World where he met with lots of kids at their special village.
In February, Rupert promoted the release of Moonwalkers in France. This gave us loads of great interviews.

Things got really exciting when Rupert was spotted on set of a new unknown project in May. It was later revealed that he had been cast as the main character, Daniel Glass, in the 6-part-series Sick Note, which will air on Sky Atlantic in 2017.

Fortunately, Rupert also had time to attend some events in 2016: he attended the Formula 1 race at Silverstone and the launch of the Derren Brown Ghost Train ride at Thorpe Park (with his Cherrybomb buddy Conor MacNeill) in July. In August, he saw the Harry Potter and the Cursed Child play in London and met the cast afterwards. In October, he showed up at the launch of the Triumph Bonneville looking very handsome.

In August, it was announced that Rupert would star in the 10-part-series Snatch, which will air on Crackle in 2017. Rupert is playing the character Charlie Cavendish and we have been spoiled with amazing pictures from filming in Manchester where he has been rocking some amazing suits. We can’t wait to see more of Mr. Cavendish on our screens next year.

2016 has also been great for rupert-grint.us – the highlight definitely being our snazzy new layout where we had the opportunity to use some of the gorgeous pictures from the Snatch set.
We can’t wait to see what 2017 will bring – Sick Note and Snatch will air and hopefully more new projects we can look forward to.

We’d love to hear what your favourite piece of Rupert-news was in 2016. Let us know in the comments.

Happy New Year everybody!

Rupert Grint attends Triumph Bonneville Launch Party!

EventsNewsIconRupert Grint attends Triumph Bonneville Launch Party!October 20th, 2016, 4:14am– Rupert Grint took time out of his busy Snatch schedule to attend a fun event last night. He was at the Triumph Bonneville “Brutal Beauty” launch party in London where he enjoyed a night of beautiful motorcycles, loud engines and smoking tires.

Throughout the night several drag races took place and it looks like Rupert might have gotten a taste for the Bonneville beauty as well:

Rupert Grint in first trailer for Sick Note!

otherprojectnewsicon_2Rupert Grint in first trailer for Sick Note!October 14, 2016, 6:48am– It’s only been three days since we had our very first look at Rupert Grint in Adolf the Artist (check it out here in case you missed it) and already we’re being spoiled with another piece of amazing news.

We now have the very first look at Sick Note with a brand new promo trailer for the series. Thanks to TheRomione for uploading it to youtube so that everyone can enjoy it:

UPDATE: Unfortunately, Sky Vision has requested that the video be removed.

The trailer offers a great look at the 6-part show which is scheduled to air in 2017 (no exact date yet). Here’s Sky Vision‘s official synopsis:

Rupert Grint (Harry Potter movies), Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead) and Golden Globe award-winning actor Don Johnson (Miami Vice) star in this brand new comedy for Sky Atlantic. Directed by BAFTA winner Matt Lipsey (Little Britain, Psychoville), this series is produced by King Bert, the production company founded by Jo Sargent (French and Saunders, Absolutely Fabulous) and writer-performers David Walliams and Miranda Hart. It’s the laugh-out-loud story of Daniel Glass (Grint), a compulsive liar who is stuck in a failing relationship and a dead-end job in which he is under the thumb of his irrepressible boss Kenny West (Johnson). Then, just when he thinks things couldn’t get any worse, he’s diagnosed with esophageal cancer. However, when his diagnosis encourages those around him to treat him differently, he finds a new lust for life. When it becomes apparent that he was misdiagnosed by Dr Glennis (Frost), one of the most incompetent oncologists on Earth, he must choose whether to come clean and return to his old rubbish life or to go on pretending to be ill. He plumps for the latter, but quickly finds that he and Dr Glennis are forced to spend every waking minute trying to stop the truth from getting out. Written by James Serafinowicz (The Mark Steel Lectures) and Nat Saunders (Trollied, Cardinal Burns), this is the story of a desperate man’s lie that quickly spirals out of control.

We’re beyond excited to see Rupert in Sick Note!
