Ice Cream Man is an unofficial - though very professional and extremely good looking! - fansite, dedicated to the gorgeous and talented Rupert Grint. Alas, we are in no way affiliated with Rupert, his family or representatives. (*sob*) The site is ad-free and non-profit. November 28th, 2011, 8:16pm–In a new interview Rupert Grint talks with The Mirror to promote the UK release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 on DVD and Blu-Ray. An array of topics are discussed in depth including what has gone on in his life after Harry Potter.
“But the end of Potter saw him finally take a long break. “I have not been in too much of a rush to do anything really,” he says. “It has been nice to catch up on a few things and have a bit of freedom. I did a film earlier this year called Comrade, a Second World War movie set in Norway – that was pretty cool. Apart from that I have just been relaxing.”
He also discussed that he’s ready to get back to ‘work’:
After his break, and this final interview ahead of the release of the last Potter DVD, Rupert is ready to look for work.
So what about the biggest role of all, James Bond?
“A ginger Bond? Why not? That would be cool. But I can’t really see it myself.”
Rupert also discusses buying his own home, different items he’s purchased, and of course his own private love life. You can read the entire interview in our press archive here.
Note: It’s possible the interview took place before Comrade was changed to Into The White and that’s why he referred to the old title.
November 12th, 2011, 9:40pm–As you all know, Rupert Grint along with many of his Harry Potter co-stars including, but not limited to, Evanna Lynch, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps and Mark Williams, are at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando, Florida to promote the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 which is out now in the US on blu-ray and DVD. This weekend had an array of events including a red carpet tonight to celebrate the final film’s DVD release. You can view pictures of the even in our gallery here. Hopefully more pictures to come! Stay tuned!
And yes, Rupert has expressed interest in getting a Twitter account, but I’d advise everyone to not follow anyone until it’s confirmed. There are sadly a lot of people who think it’s funny to string fans along like that.
UPDATE: Several updates for you. First a video interview from E! that was suppose to be posted last night but apparently something messed up. Apologies! Secondly we have HQ pictures now from the even which can be viewed here. And lastly a picture from the Q&A event here.
November 11th, 2011, 9:39 am– While Rupert Grint is currently getting ready for a weekend at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Orlando to promote today’s US release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 on DVD and BluRay, we have several Harry-Potter related news:
First, thanks to BRAVO.de, a new clip has surfaced with interviews with Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe, talking about Harry standing up against Snape, along with several behind-the-scenes shots:
You can also see the first pictures of Rupert at the Wizarding World yesterday here in our Gallery.
And finally, we have brought the current chapter of our Rupert Grint Biography up-to-date, including all the recent events about art, music videos, awards, photoshoots and premieres. Read it here.
November 9th, 2011, 3:05pm–With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 about to be released on DVD and Blu-Ray this Friday, many new videos are making the rounds. The latest is an extended look at the last day of filming which includes new behind-the-scenes with Rupert Grint, Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe. And while we’ve seen some of it from a previous video, it’s still quite sad to see it all over again, especially with new angles and such. There are a few moments we see Rupert on the verge of tears, if not flat out crying. You can view the clip here our below:
In slightly happier news, in case you somehow didn’t know, Rupert is nominated for Favorite Movie Star Under 25 in this year’s People Choice Awards along with Dan, Emma and Tom Felton. Deathly Hallows part 2 is also nominated in several categories. You can vote here. You can also vote via facebook and Twitter (check for the appropriate hashtag!).
November 4th, 2011, 7:32PM– Many of you might be aware that today marks the tenth anniversary of the World Premiere of Rupert Grint‘s very first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.
With the recent release of the book Harry Potter – Page to Screen, many new images have been published, which we have added to our gallery for your viewing pleasure.
We have also updated the Quotes section on our Biography page with new quotes from the book as well as Ed Sheeran and more.
If you are not sure whether you should purchase the book, I can only recommend it. While you may know a lot about the Harry Potter films, it contains a great amount of little tidbits and stories that are great fun to read, along with many images from the making of the films. For example, Rupert (and his co-star Daniel Radcliffe) were 4’10” in height when they started filming the first film.
Also, Rupert recently attended Break’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, where his sister Samantha performed. You can see a picture here.
