Ice Cream Man is an unofficial - though very professional and extremely good looking! - fansite, dedicated to the gorgeous and talented Rupert Grint. Alas, we are in no way affiliated with Rupert, his family or representatives. (*sob*) The site is ad-free and non-profit. September 15th, 2011, 8:05pm–The news has just broke that Rupert Grint will be in a new movie! This time in a 3D CGI movie for Postman Pat originally a stop animation series aimed at pre-school children. This apparently is a very British icon, so a lot of us outside of the UK don’t know much, but fear not, you can learn about everything here. It is believed by many that Rupert will voice Pat’s son, Julian.
Of the film Rupert said: “I used to watch Postman Pat when I was a small boy. My brother and sisters all did at some stage.
“Postman Pat is one of those British symbols, I suppose. You are totally familiar with him and his cat Jess, even if you have never watched the series.
“How exciting to be part of the Postman Pat heritage.”

On a different note, Rupert’s representatives have just informed us that, despite what recent articles said, he is NOT attached to the film Wartime Wanderers.
March 22nd, 2011, 4:07pm– A few days ago, we posted about Rupert Grint being in talks to star in the Norwegian anti-war film “Comrade”. We have just received confirmation from Rupert’s reps that, YES, he is indeed going to be in the film, which will be directed be Petter Næss.
According to this article, Rupert will play Private Robin Southey Smith, and will be heading over to Norway this Friday with principal filming starting on Monday.
The film will also star German actors Florian Lukas (Goodbye Lenin), David Kross (The Reader) and Norwegaian actor Stig Henrik Hoff.
Of course, we have already updated our Filmography with all information we currently have about Comrade!
This means that Rupert will not be able to attend this Sunday’s Empire Film Awards, but with a new film in the works, we certainly won’t complain!
And while we had always believed this to be true, we didn’t want to post anything until we had complete confirmation. We will keep you posted!
March 18th, 2011, 9:59pm– As it was announced a while ago, Rupert Grint appeared today in a comedy sketch, which was part of Red Nose Day to raise money on behalf of Comic Relief.
The clip, which was aired on BBC, also stars Tom Felton, Paul McCartney and Keira Knightly, George Michael, Rio Ferdinand , Dermot O’leary , Gordon Brown, Ringo Starr, Justin Bieber, JLS and was written by comedian James Corden.
In the sketch we see the celebrities in the same meeting room arguing over who should go to Africa to make a film about the work of Comic Relief. Rupert offers himself to go and his reaction is hilarious as the others won’t let him go on is own, because they think it would be better to have Emma Watson or Daniel Radcliffe with him. But as we all know Daniel is currently working and Emma studies in the USA, so Tom Felton offers to go with Rupert.
Once again Rupert showed his amazing comedy skills.
Also, make sure to check our post below about the new footage of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which was shown during the Harry Potter weekend on ABC Family!
March 10th, 2011, 12:55pm– With the contracts for Eddie the Eagle still waiting to be signed, an article has been published by VG.no which says that Rupert Grint is set to star in the norwegian film production Comrade.
The film, according to the article an anti-war film, will be directed by Petter Næss and, unless my Norwegian is really bad, the article says that filming will start on 28th March!
We are currently awaiting a reply from Rupert’s reps whether this is indeed true. Keep your fingers crossed!
Thanks to Malene and Marite for the hint!
UPDATE: Still no update on Rupert’s involvement in the film, however we’ve discovered a further synopsis of the film and wanted to share it with our readers: Comrade is an anti-war movie. High above the harsh Norwegian wilderness, English and German pilots shoot each other to the ground after a violent chance encounter. Isolated, they must fight to survive the brutal winter. Though war has made them enemies, antagonism is hard to maintain as days go by. Through mutual need, unlikely friendships bloom. Somehow, they become comrades. War, after all, is absurd.
UPDATE #2: Rupert is currently in talks to star in this film. Nothing is confirmed yet according to Rupert’s reps.
