This video is part of a musical Christmas countdown called Room 9 Advent Calendar started by musical theatre performers Anton Zetterholm and Rob Houchen. You can view the entire calendar here and donate to WaterAid here.
At a time when it may feel like there is little to look forward to, Starlight is there to grant a seriously or terminally ill child their greatest wish, restoring the magic and fun of childhood and creating happy memories for the whole family to share and cherish, whatever the future holds.
You can view all the pictures of Rupert from today’s heartwarming festivities in our gallery here.
UPDATE: We now have HQ pictures of the even and hopefully more to come! You can view them here!
UPDATE #2: We have just uploaded some more pictures from this Christmassy day here, but we especially wanted to share a quote from Rupert about the lovely event:
This has been a very special day. It was a huge pleasure to attend Starlight and No 11 Downing Street’s Children’s Christmas Party and to get to meet Callum, who is a very brave young man with a seriously impressive knowledge of Harry Potter! He has clearly been through a huge amount but, amazingly, he has kept smiling. I think he is an inspiration. Hopefully being given his very own broom and chocolate wand has meant he’s had a truly wizard day. He certainly deserves it!
You have until December 15 to bid on these cool shoes and support this amazing cause. So let’s get those bids up so that a lot of money can be raised for Small Steps Project – bid on ebay right here.
The Small Steps Celebrity Shoe Auction is the biggest celebrity shoe auction in the world, with the most famous stars taking a step to help children living on rubbish dumps globally. Small Steps Project is a UK registered charity and the only one specifically focused on rubbish dump communities. By bidding on these shoes, not only can you win a piece of pop culture history, but you too can take a small step to help children in poverty.
The photoshoot was done for Tatler UK in an upcoming Movember feature, and we see Rupert rocking a completely different style in the picture (how do you like it?):
You can check out a bigger version in the gallery here.
The Movember cause is very popular and focuses on men’s health:
Movember is the annual charity event where men grow moustaches to change the face of men’s health.
We will have more information about this feature when it becomes available.
