Cherrybomb’s First Poster!

» November 15 by Neglo in CB News with 194 Comments

The moment of truth. No trailer yet, but I just stumbled upon this site not expecting to find anything,  but instead a Cherrybomb poster, yes you did read right,  with Rupert Grint, Robert Sheehan and Kimberley Nixon floating on a swimming pool (almost like the small Yellowmoon picture we found a while ago) popped up on my computer screen. Hold your breath and click here to see it at The Film Catalogue. Or you can view it in our gallery here.

The link also inlcudes a synopsis that’s a bit different from what we’ve read.

Teenage best friends, Luke and Malachy, are both in love with Michelle, the new girl in town, a troubled 15-year old femme fatale who has just moved back home. Over one hot summer weekend, Michelle challenges the boys to compete for her. The escalating contest sets the boys against each other, their families and the law as the competition spirals towards a fatal and bloody conclusion.

Cherrybomb Trailer Mentioned!

» October 15 by Neglo in CB News with 234 Comments

Culturenorthenireland.org recently posted an interesting article about Northern Ireland’s film industry. The article mentions that Belfast has been buzzing with movie-making activity and Cherrybomb is mentioned a couple of times. One part of the article refers to the trailer.

The trailer displays a mark of professionalism that’s impressive for a debut feature.

Interesting huh? A feeling tells me that the trailer will be popping up soon! Let’s cross our fingers for that. You can read the whole article about the film industry in NI here.

UPDATE: BonnieWrightOnline courtesy of PotterHype now have the previously seen HQ Half-Blood Prince Ron/Lavender calendar photo in its entirety which includes both Harry and Hermione.  It’s featured in Canada’s Famous Kids Magazine but you can view it in our gallery here.

Thanks Lilly. :)

We also wanted to mention some great new affiliates we have so don’t forget to check out LewisLovers, a great Matt Lewis site with updated news, images and more. There is also JKRFan.Com, a website dedicated to Mrs. JK Rowling herself that has a ton of facts, quotes and information on our favorite author. Lastly we are happy to also be affiliated HarryPotterBrasil who keeps tabs on all things HP and Rupert’s co-stars Dan and Emma.

UPDATE #2: DailyMail.co.uk has a new short article featuring Rupert’s Cherrybomb co-star Kimberley Nixon. She allegedly talks about the already (in)famous sex scene with Rupert. We decided not to post the article here, because it’s very mature (NC-17), besides DailyMail has been known for fabricating stories, so they are not to be trusted. However, since you’ll probably bump into that article anyway, feel free to discuss it on our forum here (but don’t take it seriously!)

UPDATE #3: To ease your minds we wanted to let you know that Kimberley Nixon’s agency confirms that this article is completely false. She did not make such quotes about Rupert and of course the picture isn’t even her. Thanks again to Roger with Ken McReddie Associates for giving us this news!

“Wild Target” on YouTube; Plus Myspace; Plus TMF Really Loves Rupert!

» September 28 by Neglo in Rupert News, WT News with 37 Comments

When news are running kind of slow, we are trying to get any tiny information we can to keep you all entertained until we get the good news. As for some info from the set we now can see two new videos uploaded on YouTube by a person stumbling upon the set of Wild Target! The videos do not show Rupert Grint or any other cast, but two takes of a car chase on the streets of London! You can see the cute little red car trying to get rid of the bad guys here and here.

We also now have the Wild Target movie myspace up and running! If you want to be our friend then send on over a request. You can check out the page here! Thanks again to Val and Hunter_Graphics for making lovely icons and banners. :)

UPDATE: We keep complaining about Rupert being left out of Top ## lists, polls etc. However, there are still people out there who can recognise true talent! The Movie Fanatic has just published their list of Top 50 Hottest Young Actors, and Rupert is one of the featured newcomers, currently ranked at #37! You may view the tMF list here, and learn a bit more about their mechanics in choosing the top 50 here. And here’s what they had to say about Rupert:

Why he made the top 50: It’s been great to watch the three lead stars of Harry Potter mature before our eyes. While Rupert’s role is supporting lead to Dan Radcliffe, the young actor is seriously considering other roles to further his acting career. [...]
Grint is currently working on two different films- a dramatic-thriller, with a twist and a coming of age story entitled Cherry bomb, and an action-drama called Wild Target, featuring an impressive ensemble cast lead by Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt.

Rupert Grint on ‘Twilight’ and a New Possible House?

» September 13 by Neglo in Rupert News with 136 Comments

Thanks suzeeq for letting us know that PR Inside has posted a new article according to which Rupert Grint has recently been spotted checking out a new house near Hyde Park next door to actress Keira Knightley. Rupert also mentions how he started to read Twilight, describes the ‘stripping down’ part in Cherrybomb, and tells the reporter how he spent his 20th birthday and what he got from his co-star Emma Watson! You can read the whole article here.

Rupert Grint plays Antoine in “Wild Target”!

» September 4 by Neglo in Rupert News, WT News with 4 Comments

The question that we’ve been asking, who is Rupert playing? When we saw who the main characters are, we assumed that he would be playing Antoine, a youth who becomes Victor’s apprentice. Well this article says he is! Let’s hope it’s true, and if so, it’s indeed going to be an interesting part for Rupert to play!

UPDATE 1:  PR-Inside has a new article in which they reveal all the information available about Wild Target including a tentative (though not confirmed) release date for the movie as March 2009. We’ll keep you posted!

UPDATE 2: I’ve just examined the French blog that Jo mentioned yesterday and it doesn’t offer much new information. Anyway, the role of Antoine was originally played by Guillaume Depardieu (Gerard Depardieu’s son, aka “The Hot Shirtless Guy”), and according to the article Antoine is a “strikingly awkward” dispatch rider who witnesses one or Victor’s murders and later on becomes his apprentice. And the adjectives used to describe the dialogue between the main characters are: ballistic, rimless, excentric etc. – you get the idea! :D

UPDATE 3: Suzeeq has found another plot synopsis for the original French movie: “Whilst on an assignment, professional hitman Victor Meynard runs into a delivery boy, Antoine. Unable to kill the adolescent, Meynard adopts him as his accomplice, in spite of Antoine’s evident lack of enthusiasm for his new career. They are hired by a Corsican gangster to kill a con artist Renée Dandrieux for palming off a fake painting. Again, Meynard’s luck is against him, and when he fails to kill Renée, with Antoine’s help, the Corsican gangster sends another hitman to kill all three of them…”

What can we say – Rupert in a quirky dark comedy, our prayers have been answered! :D

UPDATE 4: You can read more plot synopses at IMDb here!

UPDATE 5: A GOF poster, signed by 22 members of the HP cast – Rupert included! – is currently being auctioned on eBay! If you’re interested, place a bid here! Thanks Lilly.
