Rupert Grint: Exclusive Wizarding World Press Conference Coverage; And Rupert Covered In Ice Cream?!

» June 18 by Michelle in HP News, Site News with 13 Comments

June 18th, 2010, 1:24 AM-Our webmiss, Tao, as well as staffers Jo and AJ, are currently having a bloody good time at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida! They’ve been there to cover the event for us, and are checking in regularly with the rest of the staff. Earlier today, AJ and Jo were in attendance for the press conference with Rupert Grint, Daniel Radcliffe, Tom Felton, and Michael Gambon! So, we’ve got nearly half an hour of press con goodness for your viewing pleasure on our ICMExclusives YouTube channel. It’s split up in three parts; Part One, Part Two, and Part Three. Be sure to check back in again later on in the days to come, as I’m sure we’ll be getting more cool stuff to share with you, possibly a little something that is extra awesome. ;)

If you’ve attended the grand opening of Wizarding World or went to the park yourself and were lucky enough to have had a Rupert encounter, we’d love to hear from you! Or, if you spy something we may not have posted anywhere yet, you can let us know by emailing us at staff@rupert-grint.us.

In more news, we all remember that Rupert celebrated with the entire cast and crew on their last day of shooting, by driving his ice cream van to the set and personally delivering some ice cream to everyone. According to MTV.com, Warwick Davis, aka Professor Flitwick, had to take down his tweets about the event because it caused such an uproar in the fandom. Well, of course it did, it’s Rupert and ice cream!!! Speaking of those two things, Rupert explains how being an ice cream man is sometimes a dirty job:

“I drove it down on the last day and served ice cream to everyone,” he said. Apparently it didn’t go precisely as planned, because he ended up being covered in ice cream by the end of the day. “I haven’t quite perfected the technique. It kind of came out in a jet.”

Awww, Rupert! Hang in there buddy, you’ll get it right! You can read the article here, plus there’s a video to accompany it. Enjoy!

» June 16 by Michelle in Rupert News, WT News with 11 Comments

June 16th, 2010, 12:47 AM-Wow, news just keeps pouring in today! As the promotion for “Wild Target” picks up the pace, we’ve unearthed a short little interview with Rupert and his Wild Target co-star, Martin Freeman, from the BBC. In it, Rupert talks guns and Mr. Freeman chats about the fake, enormous chompers he has to sport in the movie! You may view it here on our YouTube channel.

There is also a new interview with Rupert and Bill Nighy from Sky News, in which Rupert speaks admirably about Mr. Nighy’s beard-growing capabilities:

“I suppose it looks quite different with the little beard thing. It’s not quite a beard, nearly a beard. It’s not like Bill Nighy’s, he grew that, I was quite impressed.”

Bill Nighy also says that Rupert “is a very smart boy”, in the interview as well. Ahhh, we agree, Bill! There are also two screencaps in the interview as well, which you can view in our gallery here and here. Read the interview here. Thanks Laura for the tip!

If you’ve not been around in the past couple days, webmistress Tao, as well as staffers Jo and AJ, will be covering the grand opening of Harry Potter’s Wizarding World in Florida, which opens tomorrow! So, you might want to grab some caffeine and stick around, because we’ll be sure to bring you as many goodies from the event as possible. Let’s not forget that Rupert will be there as well, so if you spot anything on the net from this event with Rupert, don’t hesitate to email it to us at staff@rupert-grint.us!

Rupert Grint: A Proud Ginger!

» May 28 by Michelle in Rupert News with 9 Comments

May 28, 2010 1:51 AM-We’ve all had this discussion in the forums and in the comments, about if Rupert were ever to dye his hair. Our question has been answered! In a small snippet from Contact Music, Rupert has a bit of this to say:

“Do I get recognised? It’s embarrassing; I think it’s my hair. It’s mad, yeah I can go out, but I get recognised all the time… I’ve always been quite a proud ginger so I couldn’t dye it and betray the other gingers.

“Getting recognised is strange, it’s not an easy thing to get your head round, but I’m getting used to it.”

But what if the role was right? Hmmm, discuss discuss!  But what a way to represent all the gingers of the world, Rupes! You can read the rest of the article here.
