January 14, 2010, 7:13 AM–A few months ago Rupert Grint attended the World Rally Championship to support his brother, the aspiring rally driver James Grint. On that occasion, he was interviewed by The Telegraph; and the interview in which Rupert discusses his best and worst holiday experiences has just seen the light of day! The interview is a pure joy; here are just a few highlights:

Question: What’s your best piece of travel advice?
Rupert: Always check your room thoroughly before you leave. Wherever I go, I always leave something behind. I’ve left suits, phones and even my wallet because I always spread my stuff about. I need someone to do a security sweep after me.

Question: What do you always take with you?
Rupert: I can’t live without my iPhone – it comes everywhere with me. It’s got so many applications on it it practically runs my life. And a couple of my favourite T-shirts. Apart from that, I’m a pretty light traveller.

Question: Is there anything you hate about holidays?
Rupert: Airports because they’re noisy and stressful. Plus it’s like being stuck in a giant fishbowl with no escape as people are always looking at me. Once I’m on the plane, I can relax.

November 1, 2009, 1:12 PM–Rupert Grint fans, get ready to squee! Remember a few weeks ago when we were discussing Rupert’s Drama Magazine photoshoot and how Rupert looked like Alex from A Clockwork Orange (originally played by Malcolm McDowell)? Well, Rupert fulfilled our wishes and donned the Alex-costume for a Halloween party! According to Celebrity-Gossip, Rupert and his Harry Potter co-stars Daniel Radcliffe and Tom Felton attended the Halloween party at Harry’s Bar in London on Saturday night (31 October). You may view Rupert/Alex in our gallery here, and my God, he looks amazing!

Thanks YWeasley for the tip!

“The Eagle” Update: As we told you, Rupert has only received the script for this movie and is not formally attached. However, we have a bit more information. His reps have told us that they will “keep us posted” on developments of this film and they were also quoted in People UK as saying: “It’s an exciting project but it’s very early days yet.” What does this all mean? That the project is being considered. We will continue to keep you informed of any and all developments! Meanwhile come discuss this with us at the forums!

Rupert Grint Filmography Now Online!

October 25, 2009, 10:45am–As Rupert Grint is a busy actor with no less than three feature films coming out next year (Cherrybomb, Wild Target and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I), we are very happy to present our new sub-site Rupert Grint Filmography!
With a focus on Rupert and his characters, we have assembled all the information you need (you DO need to know what Ron is eating on his first train ride to Hogwarts, don’t you?). Aside from his films, you can also find lots of (new!) information on Rupert’s TV and radio work.
Instead of simply picking up facts from well-known movie websites, we have done research, re-read our freshly-launched Press Archives, browsed this website and shook up our Pensieves. And of course we watched, re-watched, rewinded, stopped and watched-in-slow-motion all the films (or, as in the case of Half-Blood Prince and Cherrybomb, took notes in the darkness of the theatre).
Go check it out here, and we hope you enjoy the amazing layout… doesn’t it remind you of the comfy interior of a theatre? ;)
And a big round of applause for our amazing staffer Karo who singlehandedly wrote and built 90% of the Filmography subsite! Girl, you rock!

Rupert Grint Among tMF’s Most Underrated Young Actors!

October 13, 2009, 7:45 AM–Our friends with the Movie-Fanatic website have always been very fond of Rupert Grint and supportive of his career, thus it is no surprise to see Rupert featured on their list of Ten Most Underrated Young Actors. Here’s what Jed Medina with tMF had to say:

Playing one of the main characters in the Harry Potter series gave Rupert Grint the kind of world-wide recognition reserved to a chosen few. He is definitely not your usual boy-next-door young star who prefers to play traditional roles given to teens in Hollywood. [...]

His goal to polish his craft by exploring other characters beside Ron Weasley appears to be making headways. He made Driving Lessons in 2006 and this year – two feature films Cherrybomb and Wild Target – will further allow the young actor to prove he has what it takes to suceed in the movie business.
