Happy New Year!

CXjp-lvUkAADRDgHappy New Year!December 31st, 2015, 6:23pm–The year of 2015 started off with Rupert in his last few weeks of playing Sir Frank Finger in It’s Only A Play where Rupert also earned two broadway.com audience awards in Favorite Featured Actor In A Play and Favorite Breakthrough Performance (Male). He also appeared in Tom Felton’s documentary “Tom Felton Meets The Super Fans.” And while a lot of acting gigs didn’t come up much, there were quite a few notable exceptions. Rupert took on the role of August “Gustl” Kubizek, Hitler’s best friend in the early years of his adult life in a TV movie titled “The Artist.” Rupert also did another variety show playing “himself” on The Tracey Ullman Show. During this time it was also announced that NBC had a put pilot agreement (meaning that NBC must show the pilot) for the 2016/2017 TV season in which it was reported that he’ll also serve as producer. Rupert will be playing a character named Rupert, whose father created a comic book series titled Imperial City. The character discovers that the whole place is real! He also lent his voice to the Tom Gates book series. And while Rupert didn’t have a lot of projects going on in 2015, he certainly used up his time well. He once again attended the Starlight Charity Christmas Party at Downing Street. As you may remember, Rupert has served as ambassador for this great cause last year. That’s not the only charity he supported this year! He once again attended The Pride of Britain AwardsWe Are Macmillan Cancer Support which held the largest fundraising event, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, where Rupert submitted a recipe: Stem Ginger and Chocolate Biscuits! He, along with the Phelps twins and Tom Felton, attended Canadian Fan Expo where he signed autographs and posed for pictures with Harry Potter fans! Rupert also did some promotion for Moonwalkers appearing at the SXSW Festival to support the film as well as doing a live interview with the Japanese promoters of the film.

Rupert’s 2016 so far looks amazing. As mentioned earlier, Rupert will be working on his untitled comic book drama sometime (probably early) this year. Moonwalkers will be out in US theaters and Netflix on January 15th and will also be hitting theaters in France (March 3rd) and Belgium (January 27th) with additional countries to come! And while we don’t know the extent of promotion – or if they’ll be any – we hope that Rupert will be doing some rounds for the film. As noted it was announced in 2015 that Rupert would star in an untitled NBC comic book drama in the states. While there is no concrete date set, these things usually start filming early in the new year. Rupert will also be taking part in A Harry Potter Celebration at the Wizarding World in Orland, FL along side many of his Harry Potter co-stars. We can’t wait to see what else the new year will bring!

Ice Cream Man also had a great 2015! We gave the press archives a new look which is absolutely stunning, but one of our biggest moments for the site was the relaunch of the media site! We have over 1,500 videos thus far and always adding more. This is one of our best efforts of the media site and we couldn’t be more proud of the effort and hope that you’ve enjoyed it as much as we did rebuilding it! And while a lot of the year was quiet just like Rupert’s year was, we hope to bring you the very best in 2016! We strive to bring you the latest Rupert news and have the most extensive website for him. It’s been well over 10 years since our launch, and it’s been quite the ride! And we hope we’re here for many more years to come for Rupert and all the fans.

Everyone at Ice Cream Man wishes Rupert and his family and all the fans a Happy New Year and we hope you had a great holiday season!
