Happy New Year, Rupert Grint Fans!

The year 2011 has to be characterized as an emotional year and yet also a year of change. This year brought the end of an era to a close: The Harry Potter saga ended. And while this was an emotional time for everyone involved, especially for Rupert and the Harry Potter cast and crew, it’s also a transitional year. This is the year that Rupert is moving beyond Harry Potter into other roles. With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 coming out in July, Rupert started filming his first non-Potter role after wrapping Harry Potter for the final time. Into The White marked a journey into new territory and a really different character as Rupert will be playing the rebel. He also got to do something very different and is lending his voice to a part in the Postman Pat movie. A character he revealed to have grown up with and was excited to be apart of. The filming is still going on.

In 2011 Rupert also did a lot for charity auctioning off different pieces of his one-of-a-kind art and raising tons of money for several charities. Including a very amazing and hilarious skit for Red Nose Day which fellow Potter co-star Tom Felton participated in. Rupert also decided to be the face of a drink milk ad campaign in the UK appearing on buses and such to promote the health benefits of drinking milk. Rupert also did a lot of photoshoots this year including a great spread in Attitude Magazine and again appeared with Tom in a photoshoot for Band of Outsiders. Continue reading

Rupert Grint: ICM Exclusive! Interviews with Petter Næss Part 2!

December 27th, 2011, 10:10AM– As promised, the second and last part of our ICM Exclusive from Stockholm International Film Festival is now ready to be published :-) Hopefully, you all enjoyed your Christmas Holiday and consider this another special gift from us to you.
First, we sat down with the director of Into the White, Petter Næss, after the presentation at Bio Mauritz during the Stockholm International Film Festival. He was gracious enough to spend 15 minutes with us, which wasn’t planned ahead. We talked about the weather conditions, what Næss really thinks about this film, what he promised Rupert Grint when meeting him and the magical place of Grotli.
You can read the entire chat with Petter Næss here.
On the following day, we had arranged to meet up with Petter Næss at Berns Hotel where he was staying during the film festival. He was kind enough to spend an entire hour with us and answered all our questions. He also answered two chosen fan questions – so if you submitted one – check out if you’re the lucky one! :-) A sneak peak of what Petter Næss revealed to us during the interview on his view of the film:
I think it’s quite unexpected and very human actually. A chamber drama I think you call it… but it’s constantly affected by the surroundings, by the nature and the fact that they don’t know where they are. They don’t know if they’ll ever get out of there alive or who’ll get out of there and they’re in no-man’s land.
It’s a long interview, but it is definitely worth a read! A lot of interesting information about the film and of course Rupert Grint. You can read the interview by clikcing… here.
You can see the pictures from both the chat and the interview in our gallery here.
If you haven’t read Part 1 of our report – make sure you do. You can find it here Continue reading

Rupert Grint sends out a Christmas Plea from The Friends Christmas Party!

December 26th, 2011, 4:37AM– As we mentioned earlier, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton attended The Friends Christmas Party at the children’s hospital, Great Ormond Street Hospital in London, UK. They spent the morning with the children and their families – and they also made time to do a very special Christmas plea for ITV‘s big finale for their new Charity appeal show, Text Santa, which was aired on December 24 on ITV1.
You can see a video from The Friends Christmas Party below – Rupert and Tom will appear around the 2 minute mark:
The funds raised by Text Santa will be divided equally between six charities, being Carers UK, Crisis UK, Samaritans, Help the Hospices, WRVS, with the sixth charity being comprised of four charities raising money for children’s hospital’s. These are Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, Helping Hand Charity, The Noah’s Ark Appeal and the Yorkhill Children’s Foundation
In other news, Ed Sheeran talked about his video for Lego House where Rupert Grint played his crazed look-a-like fan. He mentions that Rupert had a slight competition from a royal, and he would love to return the favour one day. You can read the entire article here. Continue reading

Rupert Grint: ICM Exclusive! Into the White at Stockholm Film Festival Part 1!

December 23rd, 2011, 5:15 AM– ICM is finally ready to share parts of the ICM Exclusive from Stockholm International Film Festival with you, and today we have a special treat for you all. As you all know, the new film with Rupert Grint, Into the White, was shown at the film festival as a part of their Work in Progress section – and ICM staffers Majbritt, Anna and Karo were present along with pseudo-staffer, Malene.
During the presentation the director Petter Næss and the producer/co-owner of Zentropa, Peter Aalbæk Jensen shared a lot of great insight on the production, the cast and the expectations for the film. Among other things, you can read a rather unexpected description of Into the White, given by Petter Næss:
That’s the kind of set up for the conflict and it’s actually a story where the antagonist is the growing friendship – it’s all about trying to maintain the enmity, trying not to become friends. So it’s actually like a love story, a romantic comedy.
You can read the full transcript of the presentation here – and get the full scoop on the blossoming bromance that took place between Rupert Grint and a fellow comrade!
Take a look at all our pictures taken at the presentation in our gallery by clicking here!

Part 2 of the Stockholm report will be here after Christmas – stay tuned for a lot more goodies from Mr. Næss! :-)

In other Into the White-related news: Back in April, the Norwegian TV channel, NRK, visited the set of Into the White – and ICM has just been given permission to show the video to give fans a glimpse behind the scenes of Into the White. You can see the news clip here:
You can find a translation of the Norwegian parts on YouTube underneath the video in the description :-) Continue reading
