Rupert Grint quotes of the red carpet in New York!
July 13th, 2011, 7:40am–
I am sure some of you have already seen Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 by now around the world and are as thrilled as we are
filmcritic.com attended on the red carpet of the premiere in New York and got the chance to speak with some cast members.
Q: Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings trilogy scored a Best Picture Oscar on its final try. Would it matter to you if the Harry Potter franchise managed to do the same?
Rupert Grint: It’s never been something that really mattered to us. This [gesturing at the screaming fans] is a good enough kind of award, just seeing the enthusiasm from our fans. It’s just as pleasing to us as it is to them.
Q: Rupert, do you remember the very first scene you filmed as Ron Weasley?
RG: Oh yeah, I remember it clearly. It actually was the very last scene of the first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone. And I remember it being so sudden. One week, I was in school reading the Harry Potter books, and the next week, I’m on a film set. It was just crazy, and such a high for me.

Rupert Grint: Interviews about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!
July 12, 2011, 11:14PM — With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 having been released in the first few countries, several interviews with Rupert Grint have been published: In a new interview with MTV, Rupert talked about the scene of the final film that gets him the most, so that he even left the screening in London last week: “I caught a bit. It is really sad,” he told MTV News.”There’s a scene where all three of us are on the bridge after the battle, the castle is on fire … there’s a weird parallel between that and our lives. That always gets me.” You can read the article and watch the clip of Rupert here. In another interview, Rupert talks about various scenes from the last film, including Maggie Smith sobbing on set, and about ginger people: Continue reading
Rupert Grint attends US Premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2!
July 12th, 2011, 5:48am– Only a few hours ago, Rupert Grint graced the red carpet at the US Premiere of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Rupert was once more the first cast member to arrive and the last to leave, spending a huge amount of time with the fans for autographs, pictures and hugs; and giving interviews. By the time he had reached us, he was drenched in sweat due to the heat, but happy to answer questions and give us a sample of his Scouse accent, which we will get to enjoy in Comrade, surprising us by saying the F word to do so. Our own pictures and videos will be up soon enough. In the meantime, you can check out this ‘American Talk 2′ clip:
You can also find the first images from the premiere in our Gallery.
UPDATE: A lot of new HQ pictures are finding their way into our gallery at the moment – take a look here!
Also, our Press Archive is filling up with great tales from around the world. Make sure to keep an eye on all the new articles
But that’s not all. These days quotes seem to be flying around mentioning Rupert left and right – and of course, we could not be happier about this. Berliner Morgenpost did an interview with Emma Watson, where she mentioned Rupert:
Journalist: … But in return, you three have the chance to stand on a bridge of Hogwarts after all the battles are over and to be caught by the camera in a way that one cannot help getting goose bumps.
Emma: You know what? Rupert and I were allowed to see the film at several screenings in advance. When we talked some days ago we realized that both of us cried at this very point.
Journalist: Rupert and crying?
Emma: Yes, he said, of course, that he got “wet eyes”. Utter nonsense, he cried. Just like me. That was the moment when we knew it’s over now.
Do I get an “aaaaww”? ![]()

Rupert Grint on Live! with Regis and Kelly!
July 11, 2011, 2:51PM — Finally, we have the pleasure of showing you Rupert Grint‘s interview with Regis and Kelly. One of the things, Rupert talks about, is the puberty years on set of Harry Potter – going from being 10 years on set to the puberty years where hormones, pimples, tears and angst take over. “Yeah, it could happen. You see the awkward stages and I know our voices breaking was a worry for the editors.”
Speaking of hormones taking over, Rupert was also asked if he had ever fallen in love with any of his co-stars on the set – and of course the big kiss was bound to be mentioned: “It was a tricky one to make it look like we wanted to kiss each other. We actually both… didn’t. So it was a tricky one to get right. And it’s such an anticipated moment, because this relationship has been building for so long.” You can watch the entire interview here: Continue reading
