Major Updates On Rupert Grint’s Rave Reviews!

January 11th, 2011, 4:30pm–While we’re having down time from Rupert Grint news, we have been focusing on trying to make the website better by bringing everything up-to-date, trying to figure on new features to add, and so on. Today we bring you an update on our Rave Reviews section, a pet project I started some years ago to gather all the amazing reviews Rupert receives for his various film roles. Too often Rupert is overlooked so I wanted to collect all the critic praise, which he receives so much of, to show off what an amazing young actor he is.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, Rupert received some of his biggest kudos for his dark turn in the movie. Over the past few days I’ve compiled a list, that will undoubtedly grow when the DVD receives new reviews, of the amazing comments from critics. You can view that list here.

I also added some more Wild Target reviews which you can view here. The new ones start with Film Fracture.

Speaking of Wild Target, a trailer for the DVD has been released and contains some new scenes from the movie for those who may not have seen it yet. You can watch it here. And don’t forget, the film comes to Blu-Ray and DVD on February 8th. You can now purchase the film at Amazon here and here.

The only thing I hate about some of the DH reviews? The critics who suddenly realize Rupert’s a great actor. :P Geez, talk about not paying attention! Even without the material he did amazing things.

How could some critics not realize how good he’s been from the start? I believe that DH finally gave him the material to work with to show off his acting abilities, but anyone who has watched any of the movies could see his talent from the start!! In DH he just proved how good he really is to all of the haters!!

I guess it’s because he finally was given the chance to show off with his portrayal of darker stuff, which he never really could in the HP films.

Either way, it’s always nice to read those positive reviews, and whether he gets mentioned along with Emma, or Ralph Fiennes, or Helena Bonham Carter, or Alan Rickman… if actors get singled out in reviews, Rupert usually is mentioned. :)

I guess the important thing is that we’ve realized his brilliance from the start. Actually, I think that I remember some very nice things that were said about him back in the Sorcerer’s Stone days. One review in particular credited him as being the best out of the children. But, I know what you mean. It’s still good to see great things being said about him. It only confirms what we’ve always known.

I know, Tao!! The same thing irks me a lot. I want to have a little chat with all those clueless critics and go all like: ‘What the HELL have you been doing all this time?? Have you been living under a rock?’ XD

“Rupert Grint s’avère être la véritable révélation de la série, s’affirmant encore et toujours dans ce dernier opus, face à un Harry certes bon, mais toujours plus ou moins coincé dans le registre du mec consterné par ce qui lui arrive.”
