August 24th, 2010, 12:22am –As we celebrate the birthday of the very sweet and talented actor Rupert Grint who turns the big 22 today, it’s hard to believe that ICM has reported this special occasion for nearly a decade now! Today our staffers Karo and Anna were in attendance for a special Q&A with Rupert in London promoting the DVD release of his film Cherrybomb, and after-wards ICM had the opportunity to give Rupert our “My Inspiration Campaign” gift which we turned into a large poster collage full of your photos and favorite Rupert Grint quotes! Rupert was quite surprised and it turned out to be a pretty amazing gift. A little preview is below but if you want to see it hot off the press you may view HQ screen-caps in our gallery here. Thanks to staffer Anna for taking care of the poster, getting it printed and putting the final touches to make it shine!
We also decided to give Rupert something extra sweet and so we had London’s The Cake Store hand decorate over a dozen chocolate cup-cakes with a photo of a golf club and ball with the words “Happy 22nd Rupert!” Here’s a preview of the photo in our gallery here! Huge THANKS to staffer Amu for ordering everything and making sure the cup-cakes were ready to go. It wasn’t easy and you worked day and night perfecting this thing so again we thank you girl for your time, work and effort!
Finally…….As you are all aware this year we decided to get involved with Rupert’s charity the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, a charity that helps saves lives at sea! Our idea was to combine Rupert’s birthday celebration with a donation campaign to help raise money for the RNLI via MoneyVirginGiving and we are so proud to announce that it was a great success! We want to send out a big thanks to to all of you for your contributions. We also want to again congratulate the donors who will receive a beautiful 8X10 glossy photo and with their name personalized by Rupert himself. 
And we encourage everybody to continue to donate!
We aren’t done with the winners yet though. We’ve got an additional surprise… We’ve asked each donor a few birthday themed questions which we will be releasing throughout the day. This gives us a chance to get to know our fellow fans and learn about their own birthday related memories. So please take the time to read them and comment!
We will release them every hour or throughout the day and then there will be one more big surprise. Not sure if you guys will guess it or not but do stay on your toes!
