This could very well be a positive thing promotion wise with Wild Target being released on the same day as well! No fear to the U.S. fans because guess what? We have news on that very soon.  Karo is still in Berlin gathering a bit more details for us today so the news isn’t over yet! Thanks to Nickie for sending us the news early this morning. 3. YAYAYAYAYAY!!!

….unless DH filming ruins it. :(

  4. excited about the US bit!

  5. Yeah I am just excited because more is to come. We’ve been sitting on pins and needles waiting to announce this so its nice to finally get the ball rolling man. Hell yeah it pours!!!!

  6. Suzeeq, you killed my joy. :(

lol I’m just kidding. I know it’s not for the US, but I’m still happy because it’s finally happening. :)

  7. No the U.S. is fine guys, trust me!!!!! Again news on that super soon!

  8. Super soon??? I love that. :)

  9. YES!!! Not Italy yet for Cherrybomb, but at least this way I can get a DVD…

  10. April 9th is officially like the most awesome day ever.

  11. This is exciting! Just about 7 weeks for you lucky UKers. :D

As for Rupert getting a chance to promote? Don’t worry guys. He’s got plenty of time to work it out with the HP crew. This isn’t like festivals where no one really knows until a few weeks in advance and no one has a chance to reschedule something.

And if they don’t let him, we’ll just go to the studios with torches!

  12. Yipeee! YAY! :)

Advance Congrats to the US fans!

  13. Tao:

I agree. That’s definitely something Rupert’s agent will have worked out with the HP people. Remember that Rupert was able to promote DH while filming OotP, so no worries on that front. I’ll actually like to hear the WT marketing teams and the CB marketing teams fighting over him. I just hope the premiers for those aren’t on the same day, but I’d think that due to the unusual circumstances of one of the stars having two films opening on the same day, that’s probably been worked out as well.

Actually, it’d be really nice if the HP peeps could go to the premiers, I’m sure they’ll want to support him.

One thing’s for sure, we shouldn’t get any one or two-word answers in his interviews, because Rupert’s got to have a lot more to say, with two films coming out at the same time, and HP just a few months later. I hope that people don’t ask him about HP, though, because this is the time for Rupert to concentrate on his post-Potter career, and CB and WT are a major part of that.

What’s so great about these two films opening on the same day is that it will give critics the opportunity to see Rupert playing two entirely different characters and to see he’s got so much more in him than Ron Weasley (not that Ron isn’t great, but you know what I mean).

    I’m really excited for him!

  14. ^ Very true!

Has this ever happened before? Where an actors project come out on the same day? It’ll be very interesting to see what the critics say. :D :D:D I can’t wait for the London premieres!!!!

  15. Ki, usually I think this type of thing studios try to avoid… but with Cherrybomb being a small indie and Wild Target being somewhat bigger, I’m sure the CB people latched onto the date with high hopes of it helping.

I agree that critics will really get to see how great an actor Rupert is when viewing two movies at once with completely different characters. It’s an exciting time!

  16. I am worried now about those questions. What if all they do is ask about HP? Most times they do. Grrrrrrrr but other than that with the news we have from Karo on both of his film reps being in the same building for their films it does make you wonder if they teamed up. That would be damn cool!

  17. Any word on the promotion yet? Like trailers, posters, interviews and the like? Or is that still being worked out?

  18. We better get a WT trailer like yesterday!!! *iz eager*

  19. It’s being worked on… The folks who confirmed the date to us are the ones responsible for all of this and we’ve been in touch with them for awhile… Just now they told us we can go ahead and confirm the release date which means all of those other things you long for will soon follow. We have more contact with them coming up since we will be assisting on the promotion so yeah soon. :) And this time when we say soon it actually means it lol.

  20. what about Ireland??????

  21. Ki, I think a few years back, Leo DiCaprio had two movies out on the same day, it was Gangs of NY and something else. This really worked for Leo because he got great exposure for both movies for weeks.

I hope that the promos will be more or less HP free and allow Rupert to talk more about his experiences in both these movies and maybe abt the Eddie movie as well.

Just waiting for the trailer now…

  22. Brianna, the UK includes Ireland. :) What I mean is that when ever you see how much money in the UK it’s always listed as “UK, Ireland and Malta”.

Well guys, unfortunately we must be prepared for HP. This is why I know the WB will let Rupert promote his movies because he’ll get questions about HP and can promote those as well. I just hope his PR people make sure it’s a minimal and he’s asked relevant questions about Cherrybomb and Wild Target. And as Tleo said, hopefully a little Eddie!

  23. Will ICM be covering the London premieres…will the american gals be coming over ala Berlin? ;) ^_^ Do you think CB will also have a proper premiere in Ireland too?

I really hope WT gets the kind of success movies like In Bruges got! It did well at the boxoffice and got some major attention at award shows. *fingers crossed!*

  24. We will be everywhere honey. U can count on that!

  25. OMG. OMG. OMG.

    YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
