Well, but like I said, in the original script, or at least one of the versions that wasn’t the final, it does look like it was planned for Ron and Harry to have the Astronomy Tower conversation.

I was just going to say that an original screen play doesn’t necessarily mean that Yates changed it. Actually I blame both because even Ron has less to do in the last scene in the original script. :\

But it looks like we will get part of it in the deleted scene…

I think you can tell from reading the revisions in green that it was originally written with either Ron, or maybe (less likely) Ginny having the conversation with Harry. I think it was Ron. The part with “He’s okay with it, you know. You and Ginny.” It looks like it probably used to say, “I’m okay with it.” And “Hermione” is in green throughout, indicating it was someone else at first.

I would have loved to seen Harry telling Hermione (or Ron), “Keep the snogging down to a minimum.”

Lots of stuff in the original that I’d have loved to have seen. However there were things I’m glad they changed. Most notably the love potion/slughorn part scene. I discuss these thoughts further at the forum.
