Rupert Grint: Details About Drama Photoshoot

October 15, 2009, 12:51 PM– With yesterday’s release of Rupert Grint’s interview and photoshoot for Drama Magazine as well as those of his co-stars Bonnie Wright and Tom Felton, we are happy to share with you what photographer Ram Shergill told us about the shoot:
Rupert’s shoot was Fantastic… he understood it right away, I told him that Drama magazine was about fashion and performance and also about the hottest stars that are around today.
I spoke to Rupert prior to the shoot and told him I wanted like a kind of rebel cool feel… without any effort he gave me the looks and the moods I wanted, he almost reminded me of a Young Michael Caine in Alfie mixed with the rebellion of a ” Clockwork Orange “. It was hot.
I wanted to see a grown up cool Rupert rather than the foppish haired schoolboy in Harry Potter, I feel Rupert has definitely got a huge career in front of him as a great Actor, as he can really portray emotion and I feel he will grow to be one of the greatest actors of our time.

“without any effort he gave me the looks and the moods I wanted”
BOOYAH! *dances*
This is SO LEGIT.
October 15th, 2009
Exactly! So that was RUPERT working it out, not the photographer manipulating him or making him uncomfortable. Even though that is the way it usually goes. Sometimes the artist has input, but it’s usually the photgrapher that directs the shoots. As with acting, in photoshoots, Rupert knows how to bring it. And he did. It’s not always going to be about Rupert looking like Rupert or wearing his own clothes to the shoots or what he would wear in real life. It’s a performance, like anything else. I love what Ram said about Rupert being one of the greatest actors of our time. I agree. And to do that, an artist has to grow and stretch themselves beyond their and the audience’s comfort zones. Rupert does that brilliantly, more and more each time. I am so proud of him.

I’ve only just gotten hold of a computer, was unable to go online yesterday. And now that I DO have web access, I’m speechless…

“he almost reminded me of a Young Michael Caine in Alfie mixed with the rebellion of a ” Clockwork Orange “. It was hot. ”
AHHHHH!!!!! I LOVE this!!
October 15th, 2009
Ivana, is it a good “speechless”? =P
October 15th, 2009
Ivana- I know! Is he not the most beautiful creature on Earth? *sigh*
“As with acting, in photoshoots, Rupert knows how to bring it. And he did.”
Agreed!…And I like the part about Rupert being one of the greatest actors of all time. I couldn’t agree more.
October 15th, 2009
A brilliant speechless indeed!
October 15th, 2009
Gosh he really is amazingly beautiful. Bonnie is very pretty though the dresses I could live without. Tom’s pics are weird but in a positive way. Overall I’m so thrilled that the three of them were featured.
October 15th, 2009
While eating lunch at work I wanted to comment on Ram’s great words. I so agree. Thank you Ram! You rock!
October 15th, 2009
Thank you so much Ram for doing this. We appreciate you taking the time to give us some amazing feedback on Rupes. You’re a genius dude. I knew Rupert worked that camera! Gosh I just am still fan-girling over everything!
October 15th, 2009
“As with acting, in photoshoots, Rupert knows how to bring it. And he did.”
and what else do we want?
a\in the words of the photographer…..”It was hot. ”
October 15th, 2009
I’m really glad he, Ram, added these comments. And I don’t know why I didn’t see it before but yes! a very clockwork orange look. He looks like a redheaded Malcom McDowell. Some of us mentioned mod when the first photo came out. That sort of leans to that type.
I won’t lie, I was hurting yesterday when it was posted what the photographer had said about Tom. I really like Tom and hope for a great future for him, but I was like, Rupert is a star. SO SO HAPPY ABOUT HIS REMARKS OF BECOMING A GREAT ACTOR OF OUR TIME!!!!!!!!
October 15th, 2009
“He looks like a redheaded Malcom McDowell”
I hda just said that to my friend like last week about Rupert, because we were gonna watch Clockwork Orange!! I was like “Malcom is hot…..” She agreed and then I thought that Rupert looked a lot like him and if they and if they made a remake, he’d be perfect!

He does resemble Alex in this photoshoot, only less violent.
(sorry i couldn’t find a larger icon)
October 15th, 2009
wow … I’m still happy with these pics, Rupes has a long career ahead … Clockwork Orange is a cult film …
Do you remember what was written about CHERRYBOBM? … the new cult hit…. Coincidence?… I don’t think…
October 15th, 2009
SO cult that it was banned from release in the UK originally, and snubbed at the OSCARS.
October 15th, 2009
Oh man! He’d be sooo great in a Clockwork like film! I wanna see him play a guy as evil as Alex DeLarge!
October 15th, 2009
Rupert, you rock.
As simple as that.

“he understood it right away”
EVERYONE says THIS about him….EVERYONE!!!!
“he almost reminded me of a Young Michael Caine in Alfie mixed with the rebellion of a ” Clockwork Orange “. It was hot.”
OH GOSH, OH GOSH….
I’ve run into quite a few mentions of folks wanting him to be Alex from A Clockwork Orange.
But, that one thing that character does…
Anyway, I LOVE the original Alfie!!!!
*is reduced to squeaking like a mouse*
VANESSA!!!! Hehehehehe, great!
October 15th, 2009
He gives The Clockwork ORANGE a whole new meaning.
October 16th, 2009
The Drama webpage said that they promote unisex. They definitely achieved that.
There was a post on IMDB abt Rupert and any possible remake of A Clockwork Orange.
October 16th, 2009
Why? Why remake a classic? No, no, no. I don’t ever want to see that. Just like I never, nor will I ever see the remake of Alfie. But Rupert doing a similar part , I would love to see that.
There is a movie that’s going to be filmed in 2010 that I would love to see him get a part for, but looking more into it, it might be too similar to Wild Target without the dark humor.
October 16th, 2009
I agree suzeeq. I would rather Rupert be involved with his own ‘classic,’ rather than rehashing something that doesn’t need to be tinkered with. And personally, I don’t want to see him portray a rapist and murderer — but that’s just me.
October 16th, 2009
“Why remake a classic? No, no, no. I don’t ever want to see that. ”
I know! I went into a whole discusson in hot topic (yes in hot topic :/) about how much I don’t want a remake to happen. So it’s happening then? UGHHHH!!
October 16th, 2009
Ohh, I just came back from Munich and have a lot to catch up with. I agree with everything Carolyn said about this photoshoot.
And I love what the photographer said about Rupert. So effin true.
October 16th, 2009
No Vanessa, someone was talking about a remake of a Clockwork Oranage.
I’m like no they should not. So, it’s just people talking. I hope.
October 16th, 2009
OHH okay. Good. thank god.
October 16th, 2009
