Gala: Rupert Grint: US Cherrybomb Petition Hits 5,000 Signatures!
October 3, 2009, 7:00pm–We are real excited to announce that the US petition for Rupert Grint‘s movie Cherrybomb has reached 5,000 signatures! This has taken us about 5 months to accumulate without much help from major websites. We average about 1,000 signatures a month! Lately our petition efforts have made it into the mainstream which has really helped push over the edge! We’re extremely excited and can’t wait to see how many more signatures we can get and how far we can raise the other countries. Remember we have the UK (which is reaching about 1500 signatures), Brazil (which is nearing 3,000 signatures), Germany (which is nearing 500 signatures), Italy and France (both of which are nearing 400 signatures), and Australia and Asia (which are both nearing 200 signatures). You can also help out on some of our petition challenges at the Cherrybomb petition website or go here to sign the petition closest to your country!
In other news, you may have seen that Rupert’s name has recently popped up about a movie biopic about Prince Harry. We can confirm that Rupert currently has nothing else going on, but we cannot confirm whether anyone is considering him and could approach him. We also cannot confirm whether he and his Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire co-star Robert Pattinson would be vying for the role. If we do find out anything different, we’ll let you know! We are discussing the possibility of Rupert being attached to this movie so if you’d like to join us head on over here!

We’re kicking some ass here, aren’t we? I believe we can get every single one of these petitions to hit 1,000 or more.
I would love to get another 5,000 signatures for the US one. It’s a dream, but I think it’s possible!
And I love all the buzz Rupert’s getting over the Prince Harry thing without even a real comment from the director wanting Rupert! It says a lot about him.

Oh I agree, this whole Prince Harry thing is cool because Rupert’s been noticed as a great choice, and it is even more cool that Jeremy Brock is involved. Hello, Jeremy Brock the ultimate Rupert fanboi!!!

I like that it’s actually in print. We never got that with Tin Tin so is there some truth here? Hmm… I dunno, but I just love that his name was actually thrown around. Ginger or not, they obviously aren’t thinking that since Rob and the other Rupert aren’t ginger. And maybe I’m trying too hard, but I can actually see some resemblance to Prince Harry.

For those that were asking if the Daily Star was a tabloid. Yes it is. I read this story first on another site (can’t remember where) before any actors names were being discussed. I dismissed it because it just said Prince Harry biopic to be made. Now that names are somewhat considered for the part, it’s blown sky high in the entertainment media. lol
