Wild Target Soundtrack To Feature Joe Echo!

September 4, 2009 at 2:12 PM–A few weeks ago we informed you that Rupert Grint‘s upcoming film Wild Target, where he plays the unlikely apprentice of a professional assassin played by Bill Nighy, will be accompanied by a soundtrack featuring DJ Liam Shachar‘s work “The Waves.” And today Laura has discovered another artist whose tracks will appear on the soundtrack: the Irishman Ciaran Gribbin whose stage name is Joe Echo, and who describes his style as alternative/accoustic/electro. According to his MySpace page:
“Two Joe Echo songs will appear in the new movie Wild Target starring Bill Nighy and Emily Blunt. The soundtrack for this movie will be released by Sony Records.”
Exciting, innit? Thanks again Laura, and the rest of you, feel free to explore Joe Echo’s work via his MySpace! Coincidentally or not, one of his MySpace friends is the afforementioned Liam Shachar.
In other news, many thanks to Tania for informing us that the latest Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince stamps collection has been released in Australia. The stamps can be viewed and bought through this website or at any Australian post office.

Hey, some news is better than no news, but even though it’s cool to hear about the soundtrack, a release date would be even better.

Quidditch!Ron and a stamp is a dangerous combination. Oh to be Australian
and to have to lick the back of it to put it on a stamp. I suppose it’s a good thing
we don’t have them here in the States. (I really would love a Ron stamp here, I’d
never to use it to mail stuff off of course.)
