August 30, 2009, 3:03 PM–Last week, Lara Kirner of The Mirror had a chance to talk to various celebrities who enjoyed the V Festival. Of course, Rupert Grint was among them:
Rupert Grint
Harry Potter actor, 21It’s fair to say that, thanks to a certain ever-so-slightly famous children’s book/film series, Rupert Grint is really rather well-known himself. Which can pose problems when trying to get drunk/watch bands at festivals. It’s one situation when his usual trick will just not cut it. ‘My usual disguises are hats – as long as my hair is covered I can generally get away with not being bothered,’ he tells us. But this year, a horse’s head has come to Ron Weasley’s salvation. ‘I bought this because I went out into the crowd yesterday and I was stopped constantly. It’s like one person takes a picture and then that’s it, another one and another one, it never stops. But the horse’s head is genius, it’s like I’m invisible. Hard to have a drink, though…’
Rupert is camping with the masses this weekend (‘We’ve got quite a posh tent, though’) and has a bright idea for next year’s festivals. ‘I’ve bought an ice cream van. I drive it round everywhere. I don’t sell ice cream, but I do keep it fully stocked. Maybe I could bring it here next year.’ Well, with these tough times, it’s a good idea not to put all your eggs in one basket, eh, Rupert?
This is accompanied by a hilarious photo of Rupert which can be seen in our gallery here. Duh, it’s impossible not to love this man!
Thanks Yali for the heads-up! And don’t forget to check out the newest Cherrybomb clips below!
Update: It seems as if the fans aren’t the only ones who have recognized the tranformation of Rupert Grint from child star to full-fledged adult actor. In her Suite 101.com article titled, “The Evolution of Harry Potter Actor Rupert Grint: Three Must See Films for Ron Weasley Fans,” Kay Szydlowski discusses the actor’s latest Potter film, as well as, his non-HP ventures such as, Driving Lessons, Cherrybomb, and the upcoming Wild Target. Speaking loads of praise that include:
On the most recent Harry Potter film, The Half Blood Prince, Grint really had a chance to stretch his legs and his abilities far outshine those of any other young actor.
It’s wonderful to know that we aren’t the only ones who see great potential in Rupert! You may read the article in it’s entirety here.

There’s our original individual. God, I love him!
That’s the best thing about Rupert, he’s not afraid to be himself, to have fun and make others laugh too. He’s unique indeed! Our one and only.

I love the Proclaimers, Rupert I will walk 500 miles and more. Too cute man. He can dress up and look hot and sexy and then look simply adorkable like this.
As adorkable as the overall tone of this picture is, look at his face and that smile. Gorgeous! Kind of kills the dork part for me. I mean, who can wear a horse head like that and still look do-able? Rupert! Oooonly Rupert. Sigh…
