July 18, 2009, 11:20 AM–News seems to have finally slowed down a bit, but fortunately, the flood of reviews praising Rupert Grint‘s performance in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has not! Our Rave Reviews section currently hosts almost 200 reviews dedicated to Rupert’s portrayal of Ron Weasley in Half-Blood Prince. Here are some of the most recent additions:
“The performance by Rupert Grint is pure gold, as he uses one-liners, facial expressions, and physical comedy to tremendous effect.” (Movieweb)
“The lovable Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint) gets most of the laughs as he attempts to cope with everything from an obsessively adoring girlfriend to insecurities about his athletic abilities.” (Edmonton Journal)
“I thought Grint made his character a lot more lovable this time around when compared to the previous films. He has always been the funny one and that statement still stands in this film. He seems to be the only one in the cast that actually looks like he’s having a fun time.” (At the Scene)
“Grint is terrific as the love-struck Ron…” (Midhurst and Pentworth Observer)
“Grint especially is becoming something of an accomplished comic actor.” (Times Online)
“Rupert Grint as Ron Weasley gets a grudging award for ‘most improved original kid’ – mainly due to a brace of reasonably funny scenes.” (News Of The World)
“It begins upbeat with plenty of laughs – mostly at Ron’s expense (Grint has perfected affable clot role to perfection and the film is all the better for his increased on-screen time).” (Tiscali)
And so on — you get the idea! So, read all the latest reviews here.

OMG, lol. ‘Does he say we’re in lust?’
Yes,it is. My big brother said Rupert was the greatest and funniest actor in this movie..HBP..
Even my sisters (who are the world’s biggest cynics and always tease me about my Rupert addiction) had to admit that he owned the movie and made it watchable.
“Grint has perfected affable clot role to perfection and the film is all the better for his increased on-screen time”
Best. Comment. Ever.
I got to see it a second time and was actually with a Ron audience. He got the most laughs. Rupert is helping this movie a great deal, imo.
Ronpert got the most laughs in my theater, too. You go boy!
yeahhhh i no Rupert’s such a big talent his ambition will get a long way
(sooooooooooooooo want the pepsi pictures of Rup at the bullrun
if there are any pictures of him at this event or only three???
i just need to see the other one he looked soooooo hot in these
See someone got what they wanted. *wink* I believe, he says “will it last?” I love most of the reviews. I agree with them too. There a few that are positive in that they are not negative like this one:
“Ron Weasley gets a grudging award for ‘most improved original kid’” But I’m not fretting I’m loving that this is such a success for Rupert all around.
Fleur-
The pics of the Pepsi party is just him walking in. He was wearing the button down shirt with the black pants. And it’s only a few I believe. Nothing really to be excited about…
I didn’t think that was negative Talley. I mean, I can understand what you mean, but it looks like the critic always wanted to hate Rupert as Ron but begrudgingly has to give him the most improved award here. lol I think it’s funny in a way because here we are, always knowing Rupert was the best actor even with the least amount of screen time, and this person now has to actually say the same thing… but if they paid attention, they’d have known it from day one.
lol KC well, just seeing Rupert walking is exiting
lol but Ivana told me they’re gonna post them soon so…. im still waiting
To the lust vs. love confusion: The German translation is “But will it last”
He owned this movie. Totally!
slam dunk!!
I always feel so happy and proud to read Rupert’s reviews, and they’re so bloody right, they are!.
Excuse me while I spam this comment area with review quotes…
Rupert Grint is the only one who really shines

“Rupert Grint is howlarious as Ron and makes a welcome comeback to the screen after being curiously sidelined in ‘Order of the Phoenix’.”
India.com
( Sidelined my ass, SHAFTED if more like it.)
“Rupert Grint gives yet another stellar comedic turn; without giving too much away, a scene where he consumes something intended for Harry and bears the consequences is one of the funniest things you’ll see in the cinema all year, and it is Rupert’s impeccable timing that gives it such warm humour.”
allaboutmymovies
“I thought Rupert Grint came out of this the best of all of them.”
ABC Australia
This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend. Some people started singing it, not knowing what it was, and they’ll continue singing it forever just because…This is the song that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friend.
