July 16, 2009, 7:39 AM–In case you have missed some segments of yesterday’s BBC Radio 1 Harry Potter day, you can now revisit their exclusive coverage here: they have uploaded lots of videos, images, and other goodies. For those of you who can’t watch the videos, we have added two to our Youtube channel: in the first one, Rupert Grint is quizzed by Scott Mills: first he is asked to name as many famous Harrys as he can think of, and then to retell the entire Harry Potter saga in a few sentences! In the second video, Jessie Cave takes Edith Bowman and James King on a set tour and talks about being in awe with Rupert when she first met him!
In a new interview, James and Oliver Phelps talk briefly about Rupert and about challenges of being a redhead:
Through Harry Potter, there is much that does not normally have been regarded as a cult that is cool, kids fight, for example, to borrow the glasses that are in circulation. Do you think that it has been easier to be redheads?
(in unison): No.
James: We do still ridicule Rupert (Grint, who plays Ron) for his hair.
Oliver: I was at a football game. Made my cut and I got up and celebrating. We were right by the home fans, and they shouted: “Put down your redhead…” It was pretty funny. I said nothing about that I was a Weasley.

Now that Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is finally playing in the cinemas worldwide (and breaking records in terms of ticket sales, sold out screenings etc.) maybe the news will slow down a bit! In the past 15 days we made 53 news posts, almost 200 updates, over 100 reviews have been added to our RR section, not to mention countless photos, videos etc. Our staff brought you some exclusive footage from the London and New York premieres, and in the midst of the HP frenzy we helped organise a private screening of Cherrybomb and continued to work on its distribution campaign. Special kudos go to the most recent additions to our staff — Dunigan, Sam and Val — whose baptism of fire was absolutely frantic! We didn’t have the time to train the girls properly, we simply threw them into the madness that is ICM, but they coped brilliantly.
Thanks to all of you who have been submitting news, and we do apologise if we forgot to credit someone for a news tip — it wasn’t intentional! We really appreciate all your help and support.
In the next couple of days we will be uploading more reviews, tidying up our media section, and of course keeping you updated with all the latest Rupert news. I’m sure we all have lots of catching up to do!
UPDATE: Can’t remember if we’ve already posted this video from TV Guide — Rupert mentions his 21st birthday and says he’ll be working on the day. Oh well, we’ll have to celebrate on his behalf.
UPDATE 2: Our section dedicated to the critics’ praise of Rupert’s role in Half-Blood Prince has already grown so big that it has exceeded the word count limit for a Wordpress-powered page. Therefore we had to split it in two separate pages — page 1 (older reviews) and page 2 (latest additions). The way things are going, we might have to add the third page soon!

Just wanna say thanks to all of you. You guys rock!!!
This is the first time I experienced something like this (loads of information and pics and reviews about Rupes as well as the film) and it is totally awesome!
Believe me Andrea, I haven’t even had the time to watch all the videos and read all the articles yet! I guess I’m gonna have to wait for a few more days, until the news flood stops, and then finally indulge in fangirling.
yeah, I think I’ll keep fangirling as long as… forever. Just so great!
Same here! Things have been crazy…
Well, it’s a tough job, but we’ll just have to fangirl for you.
lol, Ivana, I think we have that one already. I’ve sooo lost track!
Anyway, we should have a big fat party tomorrow, shouldn’t we?! …
Oh yeah! ICM’s fifth birthday!!!
Yeah.. I noticed a week ago or so that 5th B-day is coming!
Parteeeeeeeey!!! So everyone online tomorrow, allright?!
Ivana I havent seen all the things either!! I think things will slow down in a days so we will catch up with everytihg! lol.
Oh.. and being staff might me crazy but so wonderful!
I watched HBP yesterday… my thoughts on the forum..
I will say a BIG BIG BIG Thank you to Andrea and Morgan for the excellent job they did on the CherryBomb Campaign!! All my respects girls!
^^^^^ Yep indeed, they’re brilliant.
Thank you so much!
Big applause!!!
Hello, I just wanted to point out that the HBP section in Rave Reviews is not working…. :-\
Yalitza ir right. I tried as well – it is not showing the reviews.
Sorry about that, I’m adding 30 new reviews right now as we speak, that’s why the page might be off temporarily. Will let you know as soon as I’ve updated it!
30?! Whoa!
I haven’t even sent over mine…
“exceeded the word count limit for a Wordpress-powered page”
That means… better than “Exceeded Expectations”…
OUTSTANDING!!!!
*squeee*
The reviews kill me!!!!!!!!!! They are not your typical review saying oh yeah he did good. Many say he stole the film or that his scenes were their favorite in the film. Okay so if this makes us fans extremely happy I can’t imagine how Rupert would react. Humble and grateful as always. That’s Rupes.
Jo, send them the link. Or links.
OUTSTANDING!!!
If I knew how to edit things at Wikipedia, I would say how he was praised for his work in HBP. Because I see alot of other actors Wiki pages and if they do great in a film and have alot of good reviews talking about their peformance, it’ll be in their career section. It’ll be cool if Rupes had that too.
