If he wanted to open up, he could have done it in a way that has a bit more integrity, he could have said "I used to have a crush on her in the earlier days, but now she's like a sister" or, "I'm starting to see her in different light, she's a pretty girl", or whatever that wouldn't make him sound like he is liying in either this interview or in the other ones, it doesn't make sense to say just a little time ago that he's dreading kissing her coz she's like a sister, and then suddenly now he's not dreading kissing her coz she's pretty! Which should the normal reader -who would read all those interviews in almost the same period- believe? Honestly I don't think Rupert said it in this inconsistent way, like he maybe said he had a crush on her during a certain era, and the interviewer took it out of context and phrased it this strange and un-rupert-ly way to spice things up a bit...
